Cool

Its good Mkee is working more these days. There was like a 10 year period between some of his stuff awhile back.

Lucky may not always be a perfect director, but I do think hes probabbly one of the best directors out there for finding intresting things to explore things with women and there ideas of power. The fact there almost always pretty gruesome horror movies at there core is not something i always like(and i am not sure the gruesome he does very well) but hes great at making belivable sympathetic heorines-and giving them reasons to do really terrible things. Curious what he could do with super strong girls.

Did you ever see his last film, The Woman? I have. It was sequel to an earlier film called Offspring. I have seen both.

The Woman is one of the most violent nilistic horror films I have ever seen.

On Youtube, there's clip from TIFF where the cast and director talk about the film on stage. I think of the films producers says something like the witch character takes a magic pill to give herself superstrength like the undead cheerleaders.

The cheerleaders seem to be more like vampires than zombies because they drink blood.

I've read on Wikipedia that this is a remake of a 2001 movie with the same name by the same director... did anyone watch it? How was it?

The international trailer is up on Youtube and aintitcool.com. With a few superstrength scenes to boot. Looks like a lot of fun.

According to the official website the movie will be released in theatres on June 13. There's no indication how widely released it will be, but I hope it gets released on DVD or Blu ray before too long...this looks really good.

Seen it, not bad, effects are surprisingly good for such a film. It's not too trashy, it's well-acted and doesn't go exceedingly over the top (save for the last few minutes).
I liked it! Girls are hot, and there are a few superstrength feats.
Recommended. Much better than the average "funny horror" movie.

I saw this last night. Takes ages to get going, with a setup that seems to take forever but it pays off eventually. The middle of the film is best for us Maniacs, Really a huge let down at the end. I would like it more if I thought there would ever actually be a sequel...
