You can argue if its a good movie or not, but hes good in it as the Marlan Brando Style kryptonian with a twinkle in his eye. In a movie of well weird quality hes not quite phoning it in and looks for most of his scenes to be having fun as a kind of roguish man in a white toga. The man knew how to have a seltzer bottle.

Of all the Esteemed Actors with British accents who have appeared in Superman movies hes my favorite. In all of his movies, playing aliens or not, hes good for a twinkle in the eye.

He's Irish, not British, but fair play to you for your comments. RIP.

I was stating Like Marlan Brando and Russel Crowe, in Supergirl he kind of has a British accent. They tend to make those scenes seem like stuff chamber dramas-but hes great at having fun with it.


But in any case he was-a really great actor. Sad to see him go. Happy to see at 81 he has two movies that haven't been released on IMDB.
