Psylocke almost was not in the movie.
Fan art tipped the scale.

Olivia Munn turned down the role of Vanessa in Deadpool which was played by the very pretty and talented Morena Baccarin.
She said she did not want to play a "girlfriend."
Deadpool went on to make a Jillion dollars.
It has been reported that Psylocke is under used in the new X Men movie.

You mean Marvel has a great female character with awesome powers and they aren't going to use her to her full potential? How surprising
I'm still getting over how badly they treated Rogue.... And tbh haven't watched any of the movies since finding out she had been removed from the story altogether.
But I will watch this one.

Note: This is slightly out-of-date. Spiderman is now in a partnership deal and crosses over with Marvel and Sony.
Peace.

Pysclocke in general is a character that could perhaps work best used very sparingly. She has a good Boba Fett vibe as a pyschic Ninja lady. Give her a couple of action beats and 20 words of dialouge.
From what i have read(and i don't read everything) when they attempt to make her more of an actual character who gets in love triangles, and such...not necessairly so well. There is an intresting idea sometimes in that she doesn't actually train to be a ninja or really want it...but yeah. Let her be cool and mysterious. This is the way of the ninja.
