X-23 in Wolverine 3?

I think it was comicbookresources.com that reported that there was a casting call for a young actress for a major role in Wolverine 3. From the role description, it sound like it could be for the role of X-23.

Judging by a character breakdown and recent pics from the New Orleans set, it sure look like X-23 will apear in Wolverine 3. The film is now shooting in New Orleans, La right with latter filming on location in New Mexico, making it the first X-men related film to shoot entirely in the US despite the weak Canadian and Aussie currency rate.

I hope they get Summer Glau, given her previous experience she is the perfect candidate.

From the pics from set with a very, very young looking actress with what appears to be a bullet wound on het chest, I highly really don't think Summer Glau has anything to do with this movie. The actress in question is said to be between ages 12-16.

Which maybe not the worst thing. The Last Wolverine movie wasn't the best ever, but it was a kind of spare action thriller and they seem like they are doubling down on it which i can't object to, especially after the last X men movie was pretty big and dumb. Jackman does have a character built by now, and its neat to see him grow into it. Making it a father daughter story could be interesting take on it

The trailer didn't show anything about her powers(actually its fairly light on action for a superhero trailer), but that feels like a choice. It maybe like BvS and we don't see it really take until the climax-but you know this could be neat.

The actress cast as the girl/X23 has very little acting experience, but is a trained gymnast. The whole film was filmed in New Mexico and Louisiana, making it the 1st X-Men related film shot entirely in the US. Looks like Deadpool 2 may film in the US instead of Canada like the first film as well.
