It was a good movie. Had some throw back moments to the TV show, but not to much.

Will that affect my enjoyment of the movie? (i.e. is it fun w/o knowing any power rangers stuff. And, are the super femme scenes enough that I wouldn't care either way. )

Raa wrote: It is it own self contained movie. So you don't need to know any back story.
As Raa said it seem to be a self contained product with many nods and hints to the original franchise, but completely able to stand on its own.

This movie felt very much as a kind of intresting Breakfast Club/Chronicle movie that almost precisly 22 minutes till the end turned into an episode of power rangers. to almost an amazing degree-the design, the cinemtography and the ploting just took a turn, and i am not sure or not for the better or worse-but its amazing how much it shifts.

It seem there are a lot of scene that ended on the cutting room floor, not much else in terms of power showing, but some good bits of context.
