Ok, I'm officially impressed. And trailers rarely impress me.

Just looking at all the different settings and characters in the fight scene snippets, I'd say WW84 is going to have a LOT of minutes filled with superhuman fighting than WW1.

Hopefully they also used the delay in release date to add more special effects.

I don't need to see anymore trailers because I am sold on this film. I can't wait until June 2020 to see this and will see this Thursday night it's released. My favorite moments were here in the Kingdom Come armor and riding lightning.

comicbookmovie.com seems to have the entire leaked plot posted on its site.

I like Trailers and I'm not averse to some Spoilers, but the entire plot?

Even in the case where a movie follows a book (think LOTR or GOT), the changes between movie and book are interesting (or maddening), but provide plenty of surprises. And a few surprises are always nice.

I think I'll pass on reading the WW84 plot. That's a few spoilers too far.

Agreed, out of respect for those seeing it, please don't post the plot here.  Anyone that cannot resist knowing can go over to comicbookmovie.

One extra bonus is that we get to see a Steve Trevor who has apparently time traveled from the day he died to 1984. The "man from the past experiencing life in the future" meme. I'm a total sucker for that meme. Always love it, especially given there's so much room for humor in that theme.

Of course, that will come with some new complexities, as all time-travel stories do, but those will be fun to sort out as well.

In this case, it gives lovely symmetry to the first movie as she has to explain the modern world to him. The charm from that reversal alone is probably enough to pay the incredulity-bill being charged for "why on God's green Earth did you resurrect Steve Trevor?!!"

Plus, it's not unfair to have a Wonder Woman plot hinge on magic, the afterlife, and the management of imperishable souls. I'm betting the overturning of Death's steely coil seen here is going to feel a lot more plausible than jump-starting a dead Kryptonian with a set of battery cables...

I don't know... that Resurrect Trevor bill is gigantic, and the symmetry of her showing him the new world is not going to be nearly enough to pay it. It's my completely uninformed opinion, but I think Trevor was brought forward to trap Diana in some way. Some way to render her less decisive or less capable of stopping evil. If I was writing it, Diana would have to make a terrible choice --  between stopping evil and keeping her love, Trevor, alive.

Which is when the seriously superheroic WW stuff commences as Diana proves there is a third choice.

Anyway, my 2 cents as I imagine how the movie could go.

I think it's pretty obvious his resurrection is a temptation ploy by a hostile force. I have NO worries at all on that front. Its a big, beefy engine for the production of drama and I expect they'll rev it over and over in a throaty roar.

Reading up on the movie's cast and production cycle a little further, I have to say the stakes have gone up for me. Evidently the "The future is good, but it could be better" smarmy self-help cultist-type in the trailer is... Maxwell Lord.

...This is dangerous ground for me in exactly the same fashion that I find the single WORST thing about the multifaceted garbage-fire that was Green Lantern was invoking the name Amanda Waller -- and then delivering a timid squeaky farce. Amanda Waller is probably THE pivotal non-powers person of the DC universe to me and Maxwell Lord comes in as a solid second in that running (yes, yes, I know years later, he is "shockingly" revealed to have powers). These were the characters that connected the setting back to mortal experience for me for decades. So I REALLY hope they don't utterly screw him up with the "he's the King of Infomercials" pitch for this version. Noting says they will or have, but I admit my eyes narrowed to give it a much more considering stare.

I despise X-MEN First Class for mangling Sebastian Shaw. I quite enjoyed The Dark Knight Rises despite that "Bane" being all but entirely unrelated to Bane. So I know I can overlook name appropriation if the ride's a good one...

Please be good. Please be good.

The streets of DC, a Pentagon City Mall stand-in, the white house, and all in daylight and with a more colorful costume. It's a miracle! Kinda looks like she lives in the Watergate complex and works on the national mall too. Fun.

I'm going to have a hard time not loving this just for my (time heals all wounds) nostalgia for the 80's.

Not Bloodshot? :P

the only thing I think I'd like to see less than Vin Diesel in Bloodshot is probably Vin Diesel in anything.
