OK, this is an interesting one! I read on some board somewhere that TPTB are entertaining the idea of Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai, donning the tiara and golden lasso. Ms. Rai is a former Miss World (1994) and is devastatingly beautiful.

She defintely has that exotic look about her (albeit not Greek) and is apparently quite the Indian film star. Dunno how true this is (probably just a rumor) but it is topic for thought.....

For those wondering, Ms Rai speaks English VERY well (was on 60 Minutes not too long ago), is 5'7" and has the....umm....assets to fill out the star spangled bustier!

Any comments?

I saw the same postings. It seems obvious that they are trying to find a relative new comer. This could bode well for the story since the director can look for the right type of woman for the role.

yeeeeaaaah I guess I could see it. I know we'll never end up with a fitness model or anyone completely deserving of the WW moniker (or outfit for that matter). The important part will be how the effects and story work into things I suppose.

No matter what it couldn't be worse than catwoman...

Hmm, yes, Aishwarya would have the right kind of face for the role, but I think that her body would be a bit lacking for my taste. More vavoom, please! :?

See her on Letterman the other night. Not bad at all, she is a good looker (but don't ask for a profile). As for assets I'll have to pass on that, she will have to fill big shoes (oops), I mean big bustier.

Atleast it's another name for the pot. Lets just hope one day they will finally get around to making it.
