The rapid healing thing is cool.
I did like the ending, after she discovers her abilities, where she claims that she'll work with the government on her own terms. And if they don't want to work that way, and they send agents to try and stop her, she'll bury them one by one.
My only quibble is that she doesn't need training to use her new abilities. But given this was a premiere, and now we've got all the origin stuff behind us, the writers can concentrate on the story. And that her strength seems to range from just above human up to real ubergirl levels.
Preview of next week's show looks really good... apparently she's creating havoc while extend of her new super strength.
I'll keep watching.

What I didn't like was that for such a dark show that seemed really intent on not being campy, some of the dialog was a groaner -- even moreso than The Awakening (I cringe in retrospec when I hear some of the stuff I wrote said in context) . Ironically of note, for me, was the "do it on my terms..." speech which Shadar liked. Just sounded kinda cheesmo to me.
The acting has been shredded on several blogs but I thought it wasn't that bad for a pilot. I thought the women -- Michelle and Katie -- carried it well. Even the sister was pretty good and looked totally like she could have been Michelle Ryan's sister in real life physically. BTW, how long till they integrate her "hacker" skills into the plot???
As for the training and her skills, I agree with Shadar somewhat. They seemed inconsistent as she totally adjusted to some powers while seeming overwhelmed with others. I know next episode they explore her powers MUCH more and a lot of episode 2 centers on the testing and training with Jae and Isiah Washington spearheading the tutoring. The previews and screencaps seem to confirm this.
Overall, despite the obvious genre-interest in the material, I thought it was good and will def watch again....

Pretty good for a premier... they managed to establish a nemesis (Cora) and a love interest and an obsessive government agency that she's agreed to work for on her own terms.

Ironically, you could watch the CW every day and night for the last 3 weeks and not know the Smallville premiere was coming up (except for the past two days). Reminds me what ABC did to Lois and Clark that last season they had. Hopefully, it has enough of a following to overcome.
Which is tonight, BTW....premiere of Smallville. Bizarro AND Supergirl -- what more could you ask for (beside Erica Durance in another skimpy outfit )
Peace

It did very, very well in the ratings.

Yes her first fight was to perfect. The implanted knowledge must fit to the body. She could have overreached of ripped an arm of.My only quibble is that she doesn't need training to use her new abilities.
A little struggle while fighting the thug would have been a nice touch.
