early BW DVD review was created by AJF
www.alex7000.com has just posted an early review of Bionic Woman Volume 1, due to hit stores on March 18. The article says most of the two-disc sets sepcial features are just stuff taken from the shows's offical website. However, the pilot commentry that David Eick does is a reall eye opener. He admits his fustrations with developing the show and all but admits that NBC's interference really hurt the show, things that I've been saying for some time.
You may be in for a bit of a surprise when you look at the back of the DVD case. There is photo of Michelly Ryan, as Jamie Somers lifting a damaged car with her bionic arm. I've seen every episode of BW and never saw this. Was it a unused publicity photo or a screenshot of one the series many, many deleted scenes?

Woooooooow,
Thanks for this info AJF, you know, I really didn't care much for this new BW myself. There were very limited Bionic scenes, nothing that would scream 'wow, she's using bionic alright!' (like crushing steel, lifting the back of a car, etc) I probably won't buy the DVD but I really would like to see this car lifting pic you speak of. Also, found this on a site with the DVD features, maybe it was something they planned on doing with the car scene and never made it.
* DVD Special Features
* Audio Commentary - Pilot Episode (Executive Producer David Eick)
* Making of the Car Crash Featurette
* Real Life Bionics Featurette
* Stunts Featurette
I guess we just have to wait for it to come out and see if anyone who buys the DVD has further info on it.

If you wern't pleased with the way BW turned out, don't blame David Eick. The suits at NBC were the ones really running the show.
