Okay, so it's not quite "TV" but it's still video. Is anyone else besides me totally looking forward to this? I dabbled with NGC a little bit, but Superheroine Films looks like its a little more up my alley in quality. I never really liked the costumes at NGC. I think they could try a little harder. Still, SuperJade was nice. Hmm... :)

Anxiously awaiting.

More information here to explain what we are talking about.

Launch date has slipped to May. Hopefully that is because they are adding some more content or special effects into the films. Looking forward to it opening.

Clock is ticking. I wonder if they will make May or if it will go into June.

Wish they'd post here and give us some info. Must be tough to launch a brand new site.

Wishing it is a good one.

I am sure starting the site is a lot of work, but you still need to be careful when setting dates. Coming Soon often means Never, and people can get really upset if they see a date continually moving forward. Doing so can potentially increase customer expectations beyond what is possible. Sort of a "you delayed launching for 3 months only to out with THIS?" If they missed April and May, then what is everyone going to think when they miss June too?

IMHO, they should put up some more information about their site and the movie. Maybe add some still photos from the movie or making of to keep people interested. A trailer would be great if they could put one together quick, but that could eat into time needed to finish the video.

Despite what people said about the Astro Girl film and Zen Pictures' absolutely terrible English, their trailer and still images helped keep people interested and anticipating the release. It probably also boosted their initial sales.

Otherwise, a lot of us are waiting for someone else to bite the bullet first, sign up to the site, and then write a review about it. And then that individual has to be someone others trust, not a newbie from out of nowhere. I have signed up to too many disappointing sites that I am careful where my money goes nowadays.

Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to the site. I just think they are going about marketting it in the wrong way.

My two cents,

Alexa

I see where Willow is coming from, but having been on both sides of the fence, I also know that set backs sometimes can't be avoided. And, given that this particular site will be showcasing video content, you can go ahead and expect delays even after the site launches. Now, I say that not as a dig against the site owner/owners. It's just the nature of the beast. The number of obstacles a filmmaker has to deal with from paper to final cut is mind boggling..
I agree with Willow in that they should never have given a release date until they were closer to completion. That's a lesson that we learned the hard way with THE AWAKENING. (On sale now at www.theawakeningmovie.com -- Haha!) But, I like that they put up the "coming soon" page. Gives us all something to look forward to. I know I'll be there when they launch.

And again, I agree that some updates on their progress couldn't hurt. If for no other reason than to keep reminding us. (I'm old, I forget stuff from time to time. Haha!)

Yeah, I agree that they are probably marketing it wrong. The constant delays are a problem but an update (i.e. some preview pics or a plot outline) would help.

I understand that launching a site is probably a very big headache. I just hope they don't throw up their hands and scrap the whole thing due to frustration.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I got an email from one of the SuperheroineFilms.com guys and posted it here:

www.supersexyheroines.com/blog/superheroine-films-update/

In the meantime I was lucky enough to be involved in the production proces right at the beginning (in return for costumes) and I got chatting to the lead actress and she agreed to come over to the SuperSexyHeroines.com site for some comics.

I cleared it with the SuperheroineFilms.com guys and so I published her first photoset last week and this week I published DF Fan's brilliant 'The Collector' series.

Her photoshoot with me:

Yep, I emailed the guys over at superheroinefilms.com myself. Frustrating I know and I've heard little back from them since.

Fingers crossed they get something up and running soon. :(

Perhaps if they have made a movie but are having problems setting up a website offering downloads, they would consider selling it on DVD or VCD via supersexyheroines?

Jon - you should do a deal!
