Smallville Producers: I'll Thru! (oh....nevermind)

15 Jul 2008 19:27 #12873 by lfan
While I'll never forgive the TPTB on Smallville for totally misusing Kara and throwing her (unused) to the curb, there is a bit on news that will at least make me return to watch the fourth episode of the upcoming season.

Apparently casting notices have been sent out for the role of Maxima, the feisty interstellar (and superpowered) red-head that aims to make Superman her husband. No definitive casting yet (nor the exact title of the episode), but it sounds promising....

Wait till you see Smallville's ridiculous version of Doomsday. Yes, now instead of a Superman killing alien, he is a pretty-boy 20something bartender with an attitude. No, I am not kidding. This show is a joke.

Yeah...waiting to see that train wreck come down the tracks alogn with the "love triangle" supposedly associated with it. Doomsday in a love triangle? DC Comics 90210.....

Yeah, like that show would actually have someone unattractive be a regular cast member.

The Tess Mercer character is said to be superstrong. She will live in Lex's old mansion.
This looks to be Smallville's last season. There was some talk that if the CW does not improve ratingswise next year, either CBS or WB could leave CW, killing the network.

Replied by lfan on topic Maxima = Minimized
OK...apparently not....as per Kryptonsite.com:

"UPDATED 7/16/08: An update, thanks to S.A.M.: A super-powered character named "Melissa" has her eyes on Clark. They kiss and he tries to resist. Originally casting notices for this episode called for "Maxima," a character from the DC Comics universe of characters, but apparently this has been changed... we're assuming for either legal or creative reasons."
