Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles Status

Hey all,
I don't know how many have heard but on May 18 Fox confirmed that Terminator has been canceled. This is after positive reviews of most of the second season (including the finale) and winning E!Online's "Save our Show" campaign. People want this show to continue but Fox continues it's traditional "cancel some of the good shows and keep making most of the crappy ones."

I for one loved this show and am sorry to see it go.

All the best to the cast in any upcoming projects (Summer Glau is the best!)

I heard they canceled the show too. I am a terminator fan, and liked the 1st season, but the 2nd season got confusing and if you missed an episode "forget it" you'd be REALLY lost.
Sad cause the show started out great but it looked like they ran out of ideas quickly.

I stuck with the series until its cancellation, but I too must admit I became disappointed in its overall direction. Too many sub-characters. Jesse. Riley. Heck, even John Henry started getting more screen time than Cameron. To me, the stories needed to focus on Sarah, John, and Cameron, in that order. Sadly, Glau got pushed to the wayside time and time again to make way for the plethora of other characters.

I'm sure FOX will find a nice cheap reality show to take its place :/

Try Dollhouse... By the way, Dollhouse has a huge potential to become an ubbergirl show

I did give Dollhouse a try, but gave up on it after three episodes. Which was a hard decision, because I'm a huge Whedon fan. However, although the Dollhouse is an interesting premise, the main problem is that Eliza's character Echo can't have any "growth" since she is wiped at the end of each episode. Sure, she starts to "wake up" a little because her prior memories aren't being totally erased, but she can never fully do so, because once she does, the show is essentially over. A key part of drama and storytelling is that the protagonist must be a different person after the journey (i.e. episode) -- emotionally, spiritually, whatever. I couldn't see how that could happen with Dollhouse.

I thought Dollhouse got the axe too.....

It survived the axe, but they are going to get a "british" season with 12 episodes.

Trust me, Echo had some character growth. Slowly she is getting more and more elements on her persona. For example, she asked to be imprinted with a FBI interrogator persona just to aid Sierra in an investigation. And a lot happened at the last episodes
