female vampire on Vampire Diaries

During last night's airing of th CW's airing of the Vampire Diaries, Damon the evil vampire brother of the hero vampire Stefan turned the local troubled local girl into a vampire. The next new episode airs Oct.29 her character was featured heavilyin the promo. That actress is a series regular and the series itself has been given a full season order and will most likley return next season.

Since I dont watch, is Kayla Ewell the one getting turned?

Yes, she was turned. In the Oct.29 episode, the Halloween episode, it looks like her character starts to loose control. There appears to be a scene in the promo clip of her throwing nina Dobrov's character across a room.

Tonight's Vampire Diaries introuces Lexi, a 300 year female vampire whos and old friend of Stefan and does not like Damon. She's played by actress Arreil Kebbel. I read this mourning on at tvguide.com that she beats up a bunch of cops in tonights episode. Just wanted to let everybody know.
