Huh.
One of the things Fats said is that they plan to release pictures of costume around march. Now i have no reason to disbealive him, and that does make sence. from a publicty standpoint.
That said its very hard to keep a superhero costume secret when your filming-practically impossible, especially if your going to do any location work which most TV does these days for a lot of there stuff. And this is in LA where Papparrazi are something you see here every day. Hell I sometime work at CBS lot where i guess there filming it.
But just curious-not world ending or anything. But i would suspect we may see those werid "Hey why is supergirl getting a bottled watter" first photos.

Can you imagine how terrifying it will likely be for Melissa to pull on that costume the first time? She's young and cute, but everyone who has worn that costume (or even bits of ithe costume like Laura V) has been tight and lean. Helen Slater worked her butt off for many months before she first pulled it on ans she was only 18. The comics depict SG as very lean, especially lately.
Whatever that costume looks like, it won't hide anything. And, of course, it will have to be made for her precise shape at the time she will wear it. We all expect something a few notches better than Cosplay or amateur films.
But... Melissa has zero time to get buff if she wears it in the pilot.
So... Here's another of my guesses... She won't appear in costume in the Pilot, at least not up close. We'll learn all about Kara's life and be introduced to all the characters, but her first super feat (which will be in the pilot) will be shot at a distance or at night and we'll only get a good tease. Enough to show its Supergirl, lifting the train or whatever, but no close ups.
This way she gets a few months to diet and work her ass off to look good in something skin tight, and then we get a close up scene in one of the regular episodes. She's also likely to need prosthetic boobs like Helen Slater did or CGI, but the tech for that is much improved.

If they're filming in 2 weeks time that's no training time whatsoever.
And will the producers feel it's to their advantage to draw out a full costume
reveal until the series (hopefully) starts?
I don't know if I'm letting my heart rule
my head but I think Melissa will make a full costumed appearance in the pilot. Especially now there appears to be a full on super villain for her to face.
Also I don't think she has too much to worry about in terms of getting in shape If this photo is anything to go by

That photo is actually from Season One of Homeland and was shot about four years ago. She's filled in and rounded out a bit since then, so to speak.
Here's the clip for those who are interested. Definitely NSFW:
