What if Dracula's three brides were not destroyed by Van Helsing and were living in modern day NYC? That's pretty much what this about pilot for NBC is about. Produced by Greg Berlanti and few other of his producer crew from his other shows like Flash.
Finally, we might get a real female centered vampire tv drama.

Sounds interesting! I love vampire drama featuring meaningful vampire girls. The thirst makes sexy moments unavoidable.

Pretty gutsy move by NBC considering they cancelled their last Dracula series just last year after one season..

Donno,

Vampires can mean a ton of diffrent things in fiction-from pure horror, to comedy, to action to whatever. i once worked at a vampire film festival, and one can say the tone of the movies present...varied.

The one sentance synopsis of this sounds like Sex in the city With Vampires.

Now that could be intresting. Having diffrent vampires lets them do diffrent things. Hopefully they avoid the cliche of the good vampire and the bad one but even that can be intrestting. Forever Knight is top 10 shows for me of all time.

And well shows for women-chick shows are part of the vinacular. i would find it very hard for a show on network television about women not to be at least a little bit this.

But also a little not sure about Bertlanti.

One of the crituqes of Supergirl so far is...well its a Chick show about a woman trying to make it in the big city, with superhero stuff bolted on. I don't have a problem with this persay-making it for young girls is fine...but pretty much all the reviews on this site and others has been....well these ellements aren't so good. She seems to work for one of those media companies that doesn't actually exist, where she has a cliched entry level job...while having an apartment the size of cleveland, She has boy troubles, an no one understands her but some day shes going to have a great carrer!!

Of course we haven't seen the real show, so its hard to judge. Flash at shows he understands the beats of A superhero TV show maybe in the one of the best ever at understanding the beats of a comic. And well you do what you do to get on TV. .

Still...

PS Dracula was a neat idea-and an insanely ambitious show.It played a lot like a BBC costume drama, maybe bigger then most, with a a season 4 times as long. This at least sounds more managable in terms of budget. Vampire shows can be great. Forever Knight was good, Moonlight, Etc....however will see. .

I haven't thought about Forever Knight in a long time. But I did really enjoy the show.

And there are a lot of interesting vampire shows. I never watched Moonlight. I liked Blood Ties (and the novels it came from).
