For anyone who would love to see Lynda Carter as WW again in a new TV show or movie, in her prime, we have only to look at Lynda's daughter, who is nearly a dead-ringer for her mother.

Jessica Altman is 25 and she was made (literally) to fill out that famous costume.

As far as look goes color me impressed, I have no doubt that I would probably be blow away if I ever saw her filling out WW's costume but -- as always -- that's only one part of the equation. I' not sure if she's an actress by trade or not -- imdb didn't return anything -- so that might be a big problem. As far as I can tell, often a lot of pressure is put on those who decide to follow in their parents footsteps, which result in their performances being measured up to those of their relatives and the results are very mixed.

The thought simply occurred to me that it would be awesome if she had decided take up her mother's old role.

She's got the face and with some modest gym time she'd have the body (she's got all the right genes and the right curves to begin with) and it would totally drive fans of the old WW TV show crazy. She's also the right age.

Often daughters also have similar personalities and even talk like their mothers.

In this superhero-friendly TV environment, she'd undoubtedly get a chance if she was interested, especially if her mother was backing her and/or participating in the show (say, about Wondergirl taking on her mother's role as WW to save the world, or something like that.)

Beyond that wild speculation, I know nothing. All I know about Lynda's daughter is the picture I posted. But I thought it would be fun to start a baseless rumor. You never know what kind of influence such things can have in this fertile environment.

I'd never heard of them before, but Googled it and looked around a bit, Didn't find anything. Do you have a link to the article?

Ahhh... Didn't realize it was a link. Glad to find someone thinks the same way, but based on the comments on 9GAG, it's not a popular idea. Seems that a lot (most?) commenters prefer Gal Gadot.

Except they are missing the point that the TV and movie universes of DC live in different story spaces.
WW on TV could (and IMHO, should) be derived from Lynda's old show, not the MOS movie franchise. With Lynda still acting, there is a limited-time opportunity to have her hand off the old costume to her TV successor.

Just as Supergirl TV has roots far closer to the Donner universe than MOS, and in any case is completely independent of current movies. Not impossible that we could someday see a different Supergirl in the movie 'verse. That would be fun. But I'm quite sure it wouldn't be played by Melissa, if it happened.

TV,with its 20 hours (or whatever) of play time per season and lesser budgets, necessarily focuses more on relationships and emotional complexities than action movies. Both are good, but not comparable.
