Ubergirl coming to CW's Black Lightning

Grace is supposed to be 7' tall and 230 pounds, the daughter of an Amazon who gained superhuman abilities at puberty. She's hypermuscular and imposing and dominant in the way of an Amazon.

She carries the traits of Athena, Aphrodite, Demeter, Hera and Hestia. Wow.

But when she was young, she was a victim of a child prostitution ring, so she's a hell of a survivor. But as an adult, she's headstrong and kickass and doesn't give an inch to anyone. She's (or was) an Outsider.

She worked as a bouncer for MetaHuman clubs, which takes some doing given everyone in the club has some kind of power. She's had sexual relationships with many MetaHumans, and is bisexual. She's a very dominant, commanding Amazonian woman.

At least, that's how the comics handled her.

Obviously, much of this has to be tuned down for TV, especially the 7 foot tall, 230 pound hypermuscular part. But it will be interesting to see how much of the rest of her history and character is retained and how she interacts with others.

(It would have been cool to have cast one of the uber-muscular Amazon actors from WW movie, but I suspect they are all working on WW#2. )

So, Asian ubergirl lovers, your ship may finally be coming in with a series of mainstream TV guest o;appearances. If they just get the superstrength, invulnerability and dominant aspects right, she'll be a hit. But they might go down the "magical powers" path also, given she's got "Divine Powers", whatever that means.

Always hopeful...

My interest in watching Black Lighting just went up a few notches.

I’d watch a few episodes anyway, but this done well might keep me war]tching.

She looks nothing like the Character, but that’s ok. I do want to see how sees portrayed.

Interesting character... I just discover her because I didn't know her.
Does anyone would have some pictures of her using her super strength ?
Will the serie be broadcast on Netflix ?

All shows on the CW are supposed to be available on Netflix 7 days after the season finale.
