I'm all for this. Indian-American superwoman combined with "the world has never been in more reliable hands" totally checks off some of my favorite boxes!

Who is the lead actress (the one playing the Greatest American Hero)? And what super suit will she wear?

This could be interesting. I hope that it is funny and entertaining. No lead has been cast and I also hope the costume is close to the original. Maybe, she makes it herself as part of her transformation.

I am waiting to see what happens with this re-boot.

This could be good, although the TV Supergirl has adopted a lot of GAH's themes.

I just hope the costume is a little less conservative than the original version or the modern live action superheroine costumes. The lead is great, I love her

The original outfit was pretty chaste. I would imagine they'd sex it up by making it a bit more modern. But it's unlikely they will go too far as it's still a terrestrial TV network show and the character is partially comical. I can't imagine them doing even a Calista/Retro Girl thing on ABC.

Hannah is hot! As for the costume, I'm hoping it looks a lot like the original_same color scheme of black and red, with a long, flowing cape. But I'd settle for a unitard (think new 52 Supergirl's outfit) if I can't have the catsuit. Am also hoping the show has decent special effects, since TGAH shares a lot of her power set (flight, super speed, invulnerability, super strength,..) with Supergirl.

Well, the Suit in the original show was chaste because it was intended to be worn by a guy. With it being worn by a woman right from the outset would make it more plausible to be sexed up, though it might be enough if it was skintight, y'know, clinging to EVERY curve.

Sites like Deadline Hollywood and Hollywood Reporter are both saying its very unlikley this will go to series. One source says the show won't go to series is because it's too " off brand" for ABC.

Got in a conversation about this today which made me think about this

The original in a lot of ways, Feels like an MCU movie-done as an hour long TV series.

-Superheros very much aware thats kind of stupid in a realistic world which it is very aware that it exists in. Action plots that ocasionally have dark or serious momments, but mainly exist to get the comedy out, or ocasionally for thrills. The Superhero stuff is certainly there, but less then you might think....

i donno why it brings up to this is-well Disney owns Marvel, and ABC....and ABC never quite figure out yet i think how to bring that to TV so.....


...That said haven't watched this, and this maybe very much a conversation they had while making it and the pilot didn't deliver it.
