Crisis on Infinite Earths air dates

Just been released. Part 3 will likely end with a cliffhanger which won't be resolved until after the holiday hiatus.

And from the sound of things, Marv Wolfman, the man who wrote the original comic, will be co-writing Arrow's contribution to the crossover. Fingers crossed as to news of him co-writing the whole thing.

And to go with Wolfman’s involvement, they announced Kevin Conroy is going to get to play an older Batman!  I wondered before if they’d do that ... and maybe get some of the other JLU voice actors or Rosenbaum for Lex (or Flash).

But what I really want is Lucy Lawless as JL: New Frontiers Wonder Woman.

They’re also using Black Lightning.

his lex is fantastic ... but I’d love to seem as as live action Flash too.   I sure hope Lumbly gets to return.

Straight from Erica Durance's Instagram, we have our first look at her and Tom Welling on the set of Crisis on Infinite Earths(which recently started filming), standing in front of a pretty familiar barn.

 

I am betting a major cliffhanger at the end of Flash in December and when Arrow picks up in January.

That seemed to be the original plan, to the point where Emily Bett Rickards signed on to do a play in New York. However the show was renewed in January and in March Stephen Amell announced that season 8 would be Arrow's final season and will only be 10 episodes. Strictly speaking, his contract had actually expired once season 7 ended and was wanting to move on with his career as well as be able to spend more time with his wife and daughter(they live in LA, while Arrow films in Vancouver). He agreed to do the final season to wrap everything up and give the character of Oliver a good send off. So season 7 ended with these scenes, setting things up for season 8 ie Oliver helping prepare for the Crisis.

There will be two more episodes of Arrow following the end of Crisis, giving fans time for a proper epilogue and denouement, the final episode airing in late January/early February

And the first look at Brandon Routh as the Kingdom Come Superman, one of the two roles he'll be playing in Crisis along with his usual portrayal of Ray Palmer.

Routh looks great as Supes in that promo pic.

Def has that Alex Ross look and feel (notably the hair imo).

He lacks the well worn out look of a man who went through a lot of experience, good and bad. He still looks fresh faced (which I kinda envy).

I still want Lucy Lawless as JL: New Frontiers Wonder Woman.   Vandervoort as Supergirl (esp really getting to wear the costume) would be fantastic.  Hm.  can we get Hot Pants Supergirl?

But seeing Routh as Superman again is pretty great.  

But Kate Bosworth isn't as lois lane. I also wish they were Laura vandervoort and helen slater.

In Brandon's case, it'll be moot given that he and Courtney Ford(to whom he's married in real life) are unfortunately leaving Legends and the Arrowverse this season.

After seven years as a federal agent and wife to John Diggle, Lyla Michaels-Diggle(as played by Audrey Marie Anderson) is finally suiting up as Harbinger.

This style of clothing is growing on me. More uniform than costume. A tunic that is long enough to have some skirt-like qualities over leggings or pants  It works great for everyone (IMHO) except the original (popular) superheroines, Supergirl and Wonder Woman, who started in the 40's and 50's with bare legs.

There is something about female superstrength, invulnerability and bare legs under flirty skirts has always tickled my fancy, and that's never going to change.

I'm also old enough to remember the arrival of miniskirts in the 1960's in popular fashion, and not just in comic books. There's something about a cute girl in a miniskirt snuggling up next to you as you drive down the road that just works. This was back before we had bucket seats and just had bench seats in most cars. Amazing what you could do on a bench seat in a big American car, driving or parked. Good thing they didn't have distracted driving laws. Glad I grew up then. 

But most other characters look better in uniform type outfits now, like this one for Harbinger. To me, anyway.

I seem to have lost interest in just about everything CW -- though I still watch Legends (because it's fun).

This crossover OTH, I'm going to watch it.

Neither this week's Supergirl or Batwoman made mention of the Crisis. However, the stinger to tonight's Flash season 6 premiere had this little tidbit, including the date(in universe) of the final battle. The countdown begins. Spoiler warning.
