With second season set to hit DVD shelves tomorrow, they just announced the release of Season 3 on June 7th! Hopefully, this is a move to spark a wave of interest behind a motion picture version.....

Here's the skinny with the box artwork: www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3011

Once again the lovely Lynda is with us, this time it's the 2nd season. Picture quality isn't too bad but what dissapoints is the sound. It may be Dolby Digital but it's only in mono, what's happened to 5.1 or at least 2.1. It's got a documentary which is nice but that only lasts about 10 mins. It's just a shame that they couldn't do just a tad more and get the sound sorted. Unlike the Miami Vice dvd which I also got this week, DD 5.1 and docu's although short.

Lets hope that they can give us more on the 3rd season. But at least we get to see Lynda in all her wonder.

Is it me or is Steve Trevor the most incompetent agent you've ever seen?

Like most of you, I watched every WonderWoman episode religously when they originally aired, and I totally forgot what a wuss Steve Trevor was. So far I've watched the first 6 episodes of the second season, and Trevor has been knocked out, captured, and kidnapped more times than I care to count. Didn't the I.A.D.C. have some sort of training program? Apparently they were in charge of national security back in 77. Their internal security wasn't too tight either. Diana didn't have much trouble infiltrating their ranks. I mean, thank god for WonderWoman. If the I.A.D.C. was left alone to protect our country, god only knows what language we'd be speaking right now.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh and yeah, Lynda Carter ROCKS!!!

Ha!!! I never thought about it like that. No wonder Lyle Waggoner didn't want to make a commentary on any of the shows.

Ok I'm up to episode 12 and I can't believe Trevor's been promoted to director. Well, at least now WonderWoman can get down to business without needing to save him every five minutes. LOL

I just picked up seasons one and two and have a comment that hasn't been mentioned yet... I'm not one for collector's items, but the boxed set is quite the collector's item. It's got great WW-stylized holograms and starbursts, and of course the Red, White and Blue theme. It also has nice artwork that cleverly blends into the packaging, for instance on season 2's set, Comic book WW's eyes are checking you out as you lift out a DVD.

I also noticed that they include a proof of purchase tab, so if you buy both of them, you can get a $10 WB rebate without mangling the boxed set if you care to fill out the paperwork.

About the episodes themselves, has anyone else noticed that Lynda Carter has a nice rack? I mean, seriously, WW aired when I was about 10 and probably burned the ubergirl-type fantasy into my neurons for life, but I didn't remember that much cleavage. It was probably quite risque in the 70's. There's cleavage in every WW scene - not that I'm complaining :)

Why do you think it was so popular? :D :D :D

Seriously, I was too young for the original run, but I remember seeing it in reruns in the early eighties and being amazed that this show got on the air back in the seventies. Sadly, we'll probably never see another TV show quite like it.
