Oh boy! The value of my mint complete 8 book set just went up!
It is one of the few comics that I have that my wife enjoyed, so I think there is hope for this series.

Yes,
This series was great and one of my favs too! -We really got to see what the personal life of a superheroine was outside the crime-fighting biz- I think Pearl was an awesome character, pretty, strong and sexy...but yet, gullible, which is something we don't see nowadays with heroes, vulnerability on a personal level. I think this series would pick up where the comic left off, as we follow our heroine around the bend to see what brand of staletto boots she likes best...as she's kicking a baddies teeth in.

Looks like casting has begun on the pilot and role of "Penny" was cast for Lena Headley. Dunno who she is? Well, neither do I! Rare do I find an actor/actress with such a long IMDB listing that I have never seen ANY of them (and never heard of 90% of them). Anyways, here's more info to peruse if curious:

I liked Lena Headley in Gossip, which was an dark, interesting college movie.
I haven't seen her in anything else, although I'll rent The Brothers Grimm at some point (it is a Terry Gilliam movie, after all).
I wouldn't have imagined her playing the part of a superheroine, however.
