More Ultra Casting News...

The ultracool Peter Dinklage has been cast as "The Scientist" in the new CBS pilot Ultra. While this might not excite anyone, I think the guy is pretty cool! You might know him as the "altitude challenged" genius hacker from CBS's short-lived Threshold series. But alas, to me he will always be that lovable "angry dwarf" Miles Finch!!

Roswell alumni Jason Behr and Majandra Delfino have been cast in separate fantasy TV pilots, with Behr taking a lead role in CBS' The Way and Delfino joining CBS' Ultra, according to The Hollywood Reporter....

...Delfino, meanwhile, joins Aimee Garcia in Ultra, also from CBS Par TV, based on the comic-book series about a single, city-girl superhero. Garcia will play the role of Kyra, and Delfino will play Suzette.

On a brighter note, if this gets made, it sounds encouraging for at least some uberaction. I got my hands on some of the casting sides for the characters and Penny (formerly Pearl from the comic) has a good deal of strength feats including.....

(SPOILERS AHEAD)












-- car lifting/pushing
-- guy throwing
-- ripping door off a car
-- hitting a golf ball through a wall

And that was in the only the sides I saw. Of course, its no guarantee, but they were official casting sides so if its made and picked up, there's a decent chance it'll be in there.....
