Now that we know who will play Supergirl on the small screen, I thought it might be fun to list our favourite people who have donned a costume to play a superhero in films (including fan films) and TV so here's mine

Favourite Supergirl : Very tough call to start, but just edging it for me is Aubrie Richeson who played Super Aubrie in three films from Project Superwomen, perhaps not the greatest actress, but she certainly convinced me she could lift a car !!

Favourite Powergirl : This is much easier for me and it's Danica Thrall who played the character in one film for Supersexyheroines (Jon X if you still visit here, some of us love what you produced, I hope we get to see the Female Future at some point)

Favourite Catwoman : Perhaps not a popular choice but I always loved the Michelle Pfeiffer version and she gets my vote

Favourite Batgirl : Not much choice in this category, but my vote goes to Yvonne Craig, simply because I think she was one of the first superheroines I ever watched on TV, and she must of made a good impression, because I'm still interested in them.

Favourite Wonder Woman : Lynda Carter, the one and only. Hopefully if I revisit this list in 3 years I'll be saying Gal Gadot (but I doubt it)

Favorite Bionic Woman : Not sure if she counts as a superheroine, but with two tv series and many fan films at least there is some choice, and my vote goes to Michaela from Project Superwomen, she also comes pretty high on my favourite supergirls too.

Other Comic Book Characters : Unfortunately with Hollywood not seeming to want to promote female superheroines, their isn't much choice. In comics I like Rogue alot, however the Rogue in the comics is completely different to the Rogue who appeared on film. I like the Black Widow character, but she gets no screen time, but I think my vote will go to Famke Janssen for her portrayal of Jean Grey/Pheonix

Original Characters : I'm going to have to pick more than one in this category and it's all the Wicked City Girls, I can't split them, also Cayla Black who used to play a character called Allura at theSuperheroines, also a special mention for Andrea Croxen who played Red Hot at New Goddess Cinema

Those are my favourites, I'd be interested to hear anyone else's, or if I've missed any characters who've been played by multiple actresses.

Even though it was a truly terrible film, I loved Helen Slater as Supergirl. She even buffed up a bit for the role. If only they had given her a better script...

My favorites have got to be Danica Thrall and Sasha Cane in superheroines.net. They just ooze sexy confidence and superpower, it's unbelievable. Hope JonX releases his next project soon

Except that her fake boobs kept slipping down. They'd equipped her with the kind of breast forms that post-mastectomy patients wear, but they wouldn't always stay in place. That was an issue during the filming.

But yes, she really put herself into the role. But then, she was only 18 when she got the role. A breakout. One of the coolest videos I've seen was one that showed her with her hair dyed extra blonde (as it would be in the movie) and coming into the office to be notified that she had the role. She was so cute.

Then they put her on a serious training program to tighten up. There is no such thing as a flabby Khryptonian.

I'll go down dauntingmold's list.
Mine is pretty straight forward because i grew up in the 1970s
I'll give Hollywood and then an Alternate if I have one.

Supergirl: Helen Slater

Powergirl: No Hollywood option, I am a huge AZ Powergirl fan. She looks and acts the part any day.

Catwoman: Julie Newmar

Batgirl: Yvonne Craig

Wonder Woman: Lynda Carter (obviously) I used to be a Valerie Perez fan but have cooled on her lately. Margie Cox is moving up.

Bionic Woman: Lindsay Wagner

Others: Nicola Rae as Stormy Tempest and Maria Paris as Blue Buletteer/ Nightveil

Honorable Mention: Jess P. I love her look and screen presence. My wish for 2015 is that she play a "Good Girl"

If your going to go with fan videos i'll say

Supergirl: Helen Slater has a good presence in the role which still wins. It does a good job of showing some vulnerability curiousity and awe with nothing else her self more then any on screen. Something for the modern show to remember.

Batgirl: The Role was made for Yvong Craig and she finds intresting things to do with it. A Moddish superheroine is kind of fun.

Bionic Woman: Have to go Michelle Ryan in the remake. The show isn't great, but well neither is the original. And Ryan does good with a character who has both gained and lost something at the same time. And Kate Sackoff is probabbly the best pure villaness in any media if they never did as much as they could with her.

Catwoman: Michelle Pfeiffer One of the more complicated character in superhero movies-she does a great job of playing both the Meek Secretary with animal peaking out and a Catwoman with a meek Secretary peaking out.

To Fan Films:

Powergirl Tanya Mannion-just a great study in unfocused rage in her shorts. She is Superheroine as a New Yorker.

Wonder Woman: Nina Bergman. Her fan Trailer is really an amazing peice of film and fight work. I realize this isn't a version of the most famous characters of all who has any dialouge-but well she works good.

Others:Mirocole Burns as Ms.Marvels in Avengers Assemble. She is still what i think of when i think of the character at all. A Straighwoman in a world of iddiots.

Original: All four of heroines in The Specials are pretty good(its still easily my favorite James Gunn movie) But i am going to go for Judy Griers Deadly Girl. A perfect mix of Goth Snark and pathos at her powers. You can see who she is and unlike a lot of characters in the movie why she does it. Who hasn't gotten drunk at a bar mitzah and summoned a demon that eats a kid?
