I like this one of SuperMary. It's from a series of frames that may just lend itself to a short story I'm thinking about...

Here's a picture of Ursa absorbing Superman's heat vision. I'm guessing she can handle it. And him.

Doesn't hurt when you can ask your actress to look in the direction you want the beams to go .
Edit: Sorry, just remembered this thread's deliberately safe for work. I'll move the image to wilder hunting grounds. But a definite big thanks on the tutorial. I can only improve with practice!

The idea was that the old tread could serve the purpose for NSFW images, perhaps you could post it there. Link is in the OP.Sorry, just remembered this thread's deliberately safe for work. I'll move the image to wilder hunting grounds.
Still trying out new stuff, anyone know how to do ice breath? Could be an interesting challenge.

Possibly the most basic, I just toyed around with the beam color.
This one is actually very recent and included a lot of twaking to the base image as well (courtesy of Shadar's techniques).
This one looks simple, but took me a ton of effort to make it work. The tricky bit was that I was trying to make the beam more intense after it passed through the glasses, as if they were some sort of focusing device. I think that the result isn't half bad, although the effect is very subtle.

There are so many Kryptonian cosplay pix out there, but Supermaryface's is particularly cool!

The color scheme and the details suggest Maxima.
