Another few hours of this and there would be nothing at all left of the old place. Which was exactly what she wanted, given what had happened there.
It would take fire crews two weeks to put out the wildfires on the hills. A small price to pay for vengeance like this.
Whoever said "revenge is best served" cold was an idiot.

warriors up there in the sky who aren't powered by jet engines, but are busting the Mach and dog-fighting with the best of them... to toss a few coins into the engine intakes
The coin trick is a fun change of pace. But sometimes, what an invulnerable flying woman wants is to go old school, when she blows up a fighter jet that invaded her airspace.

Lady Blackhawk is known for her expertise in piloting any kind of aircraft in combat. She's an ace among aces who is almost superhumanly capable as a combat pilot.

But somewhere along the line, she and some unknown alien superman hit it off and had this wild affair, and now she's living proof that some elements of superpower can be transferred after enough intimate contact.

In my reimagined version of Earth, she no longer needs an aircraft, but her famous legs come in handy for her new trademark attack technique -- she lands on the nose of the enemy fighter planes, straddling the roaring engine as she squeezes until the slowly crushing engine seizes up and stops.

She has the most feared (and celebrated) legs in the entire air war. Just the thing to keep the boys enthused back on the base, and when they fly into combat with her.

This could be a really entertaining WWII-era story. Those P-51's don't stand a chance. Fun to think of the pinup gal paint job, that the boys in the squadron put on their planes, is of the lady in the air with them. Rather than their sweetheart back home, or the hearthrob of radio and Hollywood.

Her parents spent a fortune enhancing her DNA at the embryonic level, injecting genetic material which had been recovered from the meteors that had fallen to Earth years before.

The results were very impressive as Amelia grew up stronger and tougher than any other kid she knew. A girl who would astound her friends by sitting in the middle of a huge bonfire to enjoy the warmth. Not to mention BASE jumping off the highest pinnacles without a parachute.

Those powers, impressive as they were, shifted into high gear at puberty, as whatever that alien DNA was, it gave her a set of what were officially labeled "Kryptonian'esq abilities", for lack of any better name. Which even though they were labeled "modest", she was able to gain admission to the Valiants, a group of kids who'd had similar treatments performed on their DNA immediately after conception.

Growing up with the ability to shrug off gunfire (albeit uncomfortably) and pick up a car and even toss it, not to mention being able to fly hundreds of miles per hour had given her an incredible advantage when facing down the worst criminals. Which is what the Valiants were all about.

But everything is relative. In this image, she has decided to engage an older and more primal superwoman, the red-haired offspring of the earlier Russian program, which took much larger risks with enhancing embryos, trying to make super-soldiers.

Here we see our young, blonde budding superhero encountering someone who is stronger and more powerful than herself, with particularly dangerous plasma bursts that she can unleash from her hands.

Not sure how this all ends, but it could be a tragedy.

Cool! I like the back story. So are you getting into 3D animation now, Shadar?

Nope.  No graphics for me other to slightly tweak photos like this and then wrap a scene and backstory around it.  Just teasers for my imagination and hopefully others as well.  Bite-sized vignettes of a sort.

Full-auto 7.62mm burst to the face? Doesn't even blink.

Huge boulder blocking the road? Pick it up and toss it away.

Landing on a planet?  Cycle out the airlock in the nude and make a flaming dive for the surface.

Need to get somewhere in a hurry?  Mach 6 capable in the atmosphere

Need to examine the contents of a vault? Squint a little and look right through the steel walls.

Need to open that safe? Work the the steel with fingers as if it was merely modeling clay.

Need to start a fire?  Open eyes wide and think plasma-welder-bright.

Favorite way to have fun? Air sex in the clouds.

All of that comes with this face. A Velorian woman. Whether 20 or 200 years, you can't tell the difference.

Here's an old image from the comics during the Mae (Matrix) era of Supergirl.

Mae might have been a shapeshifter who was just faking having Kryptonian powers, often achieved thru telekinesis, but she managed to morph her body sufficiently to have a substantial portion of Kryptonian raw physical strength.

Of all the humans and superhumans she'd encountered on Earth, she identified most closely with the deceased Kara Zor El of Krypton. But what she failed to comprehend was the social conventions established by Superman, and his history with Lex Luthor, and she wound up becoming Luthor's girlfriend and a very powerful tool to further Luthor's own goals. She appeared worldly, but in reality she had only a thin, superficial understanding of human culture, more by imitation than emotion.

But... she did idolize Kara Zor El, and that kept her from going too crazy. And she could look anyway she wanted, which made secret identities very easy.

Anyway, here she is doing a public demonstration (per Luthor's request) to show that she has Kryptonian raw strength and flight power, along with a demonstration in an earlier scene of her invulnerability before some military-grade weaponry (which she faked with a force field).

But bulletproof is still impressive, no matter the method, and the raw strength to mangle that huge I-beam was very real and not merely TK, including grabbing handfuls of the steel.

(BTW... one of the more bizarre real world analogies is that while this era of the comics showed Mae Supergirl as Luthor's very intimate girlfriend, which thrilled him for obvious reasons, a real world analog was established when Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville's Lex Luthor) and Laura Vandervoort hooked up for the better part of year while she was guest-starring as Supergirl on Smallville. Lex finally got his Supergirl.)

She brings me back to when all she wanted to do was, unwittingly, impress Lex Luthor with her strength and powers. Perhaps she was too young and naively immature at the time? Lex would definitely have lapped her adoration of himself up!

E.T.A. At least Laura was more 'refined' in dealing with Rosenbaum's Lex in Smallville. She wouldn't want to give the game away.

She once explained her offscreen relationship with Rosenbaum by saying she was new to Hollywood and the show, and Rosenbaum was the only person who was nice to her. So they became a couple for a while. <sigh… if that was all it took!>

They stayed friends afterward, but they didn’t do very well as a couple. Given Rosenbaum’s ego, I’m not surprised.

A little body paint and nothing else... gotta love the women of Brazil and the Carnival. Walking around in the street and enjoying the Carnival with just body paint must be fun... and she's got the body for it, for sure.

Fantasy that suddenly isn't...

Here is Kara Zor El having a bit of fun at a ComicCon. After hanging up her authentic costume with its Kryptonian fabric, the girl from a distant planet dons a somewhat cheesy Cosplay costume and walks around the San Diego ComicCon, pretending to just be another Cosplayer as she wonders whether anyone will recognize who she really is.

Fortunately, you are one of the few who know enough about Kryptonians to pick up on the clues, including her eyes, and realize with a shock that she's the absolute real thing. A polite invite to buy her a drink follows, ostensibly to discuss the pros/cons of being a Cosplay Supergirl.

With any luck, she'll reveal that she's just having a bit of fun, and that you've now won the prize for being the first person to realize who she really is.
