I would put the state of her costume down to wear and tear caused by the assault of the accelerating train, although her outfit is meant to be as Invulnerable as She is!

Fair enough… nice thing about alternate worlds/timelines is that we can change anything we want from ‘canon’.

The Proud Family - A Hero For Halloween, where Penny, the daughter in the family is transformed with her Supergirl Halloween costume after eating some of her dad's 'Scoobie Snacks'. She transforms from a skinny waife, into a muscular, bosom-busting superheroine.
E.T.A. She has all the Powers; Flight, SuperStrength, SuperBreath, Ice Breath, SuperHearing and SuperSpeed when flying home to save her family.

Cassie Sandsmark (WonderGirl) has been written and drawn a lot of different ways.  But this particular pict is certainly my favorite. She's gotten strong in the way of an Amazon, and also developed a kick-ass attitude that also befits an Amazon. Great skintight costume. 

Her father is a god, her mother a mortal. She got a whole lot of the god-stuff...

Just one of the challenges if you're the Girl of Steel and you want to ditch the costume for night out. To blend in at some noisy, busy bar,  wearing her 'civvies'.  Then along comes a nipply moment that is definitely superhuman. Disguise blown.

But... that look will always get her a free drink at the bar.

"DRINKS ARE ON THE HOUSE!" was the cry that went up. (She would soon be as well - enjoying her drink on the roof of the house...)

The science student's experiment with the Kryptonian Crystallised Potion had definitely worked out for her and on her!
It was time to let loose and Burst from her science lab assistant's​​​​ Blouse to reveal her new self, before she would remove her glasses for the last time. The garment that she ripped open could barely hold her new, improved SuperChest and Body now anyway! Her SuperSuit she had prepared for her experiment would now let her perform her new role in society - and she smiled to herself...

The blue-eyed blonde wanted the ability to shoot lasers from her eyes, and also asked to be given the gifts of X-ray Vision as part of her Advanced Superheroine Adjustment Program (ASAP).
This wouldn't be a problem to fund from her billionaire father.

Due to the repeated missile tests and drone incursions by a militant border nation we are revealing one of our newest super soldiers. Unlike conventional weapons, super soldiers can be hidden anywhere, holding down regular jobs until they are needed without any special features other than a youthful beautiful appearance. In the photo session she demonstrates her ability to scan a crowd and detect any terrorists, also delivering reassuring eye contact. All possible with the meteor based MAXQ technology. Future video may demonstrate the ability to neutralize drones and rockets or counterattack. Let's leave the enemy guessing exactly what she can do and how many we have keeping our citizens safe,

I would love to see more stories about Valkyries here. They're a great fit for our genre, but don't get a lot of exposure.

I had written a story years and years ago about a grad student who gets Valkyrized at a frat party.  I'l dig around my old hard drives and see if I can find it and if it's good enough to post.

Some interesting valkyrie mythology which could provide some inspiration.

The valkyries hover unseen above battles to choose the bravest. They are then divided into 2 groups between Odin and Freyja. When not watching battles they are free to roam, and can transform into a swan disguise. If seen by a human without the swan disguise they are banned and become mortal. Could a fallen valkyrie fight bravely in battle and be chosen?

The supervillain Hela from Thor:Ragnarok must have gotten all the warriors not chosen by valkyries.


The gods of mythology may have long since retired, so what are immortal valkyries to do with their free time?

I envision that modern Valkyries are more akin to the comic character Valkyrie, in that they are more like a superheroine than the original mythology. Closer to the Asgardians of Marvel tales, although with a closer genetic tie to Freya and Odin. Perhaps Thor's first girlfriends when he was in his teen years were Valkyries.

Being a god is great work if you can get it.

Wow, that brings back memories. The first one she did is probably the best regarding use of powers and such. Not so much for the second one. However, both Astro-Girl videos along with the rest of the site content do devolve into peril content in the end.

From what I recall, the lead is a Romanian-born actress who had moved to Japan to get into the acting business. She had a few small roles in films and television but never really broke out in the industry there (from what I can tell). Last I recall from years and years ago, she moved back to Romania, got married, and had a family.

I always thought the idea of moving to Japan to break into the local film industry was an interesting one. Ages ago, a friend of mine moved to Japan to teach English, got married, and has a nice life out there now.

Yes, Delcia Mihaela Gabriela is a Romanian actress who played Astro Girl. In episode one, she was the dominant superheroine. In episode two, unfortunately, as the Japanese tend to portray their heroines, she suffered terrible tortured abuse. (I don't understand the Japanese culture or way of thinking on this premise.)
