A modern day Valkyrie.

Yes, they still live and no, they haven't changed physically in a thousand years. But they have adapted to the modern world and dress and for the most part act accordingly.

Yet with greater strength than a hundred men or more, and unhurtable by nearly any weapon, they are truly immortal demi-gods. Sometimes they still carry the bravest and most accomplished warriors from the horrors of the battlefield to rejuvenation in their arms, nursing even the mortally wounded back to health.

It is said that they still fly over battlefields, but are only seen by dying warriors in their last moments, the most fortunate of whom later wake up in their arms. They exist on both sides of the boundary of death, and are themselves immune to it, a grace that they share with deserving warriors.

Yet from the beginning of recorded history and beyond, it's always been dangerous to fall in love with a goddess... even if she does live next door.

Wonder Woman without her costume, leaping into flight from a beach. She'll be supersonic in two seconds, and out of the atmosphere in ten, her clothing burned away at Mach 20 before she leaves the last whiffs of air behind. 

She's been up-powered thanks to her very close friendship with Kal El. The kind of friendship that comes with benefits.

It's a little known fact that Kryptonian males leave a bit of their power behind anytime they are intimate with a woman who is herself powerful enough to survive his unrestrained passion.  Passion that Larry Niven once described rather graphically. Power that Diana has become so very familiar with.

The astronauts she is racing to save are going to get an eyeful of Wonder Woman, but given she's saving their lives, they'll be gentlemen and make no mention of her attire -- or the lack of it.

For men who have to wear bulky spacesuits to survive even a few seconds outside their capsule, the way Diana looks so comfortable in hard vacuum with only her bare skin to protect her will shock them to their core, and be vividly remembered as long as they live.

It's likely the legend of Valkyries was consistent with the time period when battles may have been more frequent.  What if Valkyries were actually content producers assigned to make reality videos for Odin Studio Productions.  As producers  they have immense power over the human actors possibly able to create or modify any to fit any plotline they wish.   Valkyries are forbidden from showing their true form to humans - either the sight would be so incredible the humans would explode, or the humans would become obsessed with such incredible beauty they would never be satisfied with regular humans again.  Either way if their mission was to produce reality videos with human actors for Odin they would not want to be in the videos.

Odin might not be so interested in the actual warriors but in the videos or experiences recorded by his team of content producers.

Maybe Shakesphere suspected this as well with "All the world's a Stage"

Only Luc Besson could have created Leelu as his Supreme Being, able to save entire planets with power that she blasts from her body. 

Fifth Element remains a classic in my mind, and Leelu has this incredible mix of innocence and sexuality, fragility and toughness, intelligence and naivety, vulnerability and raw power. So very French. 

And in the end, she opens her mouth and blasts an entire planetoid to a burnt husk. And then climbs into the reactor with Dallas Corbin to make love while they regenerate together. 

Just shows there are uncounted ways to portray a superwoman. I like Luc's vision.

Sometimes it's nice to have a good friend who is expert at putting her body in front of any bullets that come your way. 

Unlike Diana, who deflects them with her bracelets, Kara uses all of herself to deflect them. She's rather expert at it.

I wouldn't be surprised if she kind of gets off on it. 

Don't always agree with the art though. Ricochets off muscles, foreheads, abs and boobs are going to sound different and rebound a bit differently from spot to spot.

Boobs probably just dimple and absorb the energy to plunk the bullets spent to the ground in front of her. 

Forehead ricochets are dangerous given they are going to be moving really fast. Same with her flexed biceps. Harder than steel they are.

It's a real nuisance when the photog yells "Hold that Pose" when you are off balance, one foot in the air... with 20 tons of boulder held over your head. 

Whether its to fix the camera, change lenses or cameras, or maybe a quick potty break or a phone call, the model can't move a muscle until the shot is done. 

But then, some models are better at it than others. Super good even. 

The real question is whether he asks her out for a nice dinner after the shoot. You know, to make up for the long held pose.

Misty stepped between the armed man and the Terran she was touring the old space port with, telling the potential shooter very clearly that she was Velorian, as required by law.

She was just be a low-level staffer at the Embassy, wandering about with her new friend on her day off, killing time before they went back to his house for the night.

Identifying herself should have been sufficient to send the guy with the gun running, but instead he planted his feet and put 5 rounds of .44Mag into her chest with his long-barreled Smith and Wesson Model 29 revolver. A Dirty Hairy Special.

Idiot. This wasn't the movies. This was real life. Shooting at Velorians or their friends is just incredibly dumb.

To drive her point home, she casually lifted her bullet-holed shirt to show him the harmless lead stains on her boobs, and then, just to make sure he got the message, she leaned a bit to the side to bend the top flange on the old steel girder. 

It was his move now. If he insisted on firing the 6th round in his revolver, or started reloading, then things were going to get very serious. As in, tearing off a section of that old girder and whacking him with it before bending it painfully around him to secure him until the cops came.

After that it would be hours of cutting torches and grinders to remove it so he could be locked up for attempted murder. 

How come the cute blondes were always the dangerous ones?

This is an immensely powerful and indestructable Arion Prime. If there was such a thing as a Kryptonian, and they were arm-wrestling, I'd put my money on the Prime.

However, to any Terran, a Prime is the most dangerous being in the entire universe.

They believe that only the Homo Sapiens Supremis should rule, and all other Homo Sapiens should be but servants of the Empire. 

And if they ever defeat the Velorian Protectors, that's exactly how it will be.
