Supersexyheroines
I didn't actually expect the update to happen on time, but I think if one only subscribes once in a while, there can't really be a reason to complain. Sure, it can be frustrating to wait in vain for the updates - and I think it would be worth considering to just stop announcing them. I like the blog posts where you get preview pictures of what Jon has in store next, that's really cool. I think these posts would cause much less trouble if they didn't contain statements about the targeted release date.
However, no matter when the next update comes: I love the newer content so far. I hadn't subscribed in quite a while, and back then I found the stories and concepts somehow repeating. But now, everything seems much fresher, new ideas have made their way into the comics, and Jon accepts suggestions and even whole scripts contributed by externals. Also, it's great that he keeps on hiring those great models with their gorgeous faces - one of the reasons that keep us all coming back over and over again. I, for example, found Emma Glover as Dark Star in Time Travel one of the greatest appearances in the history of his page. Okay, I know this is quite a strong statement and many of the other comics were at least just as great (to name a few, Mind Over Matter, One At A Time (my god, Jon, the only thing that one lacked was a slightly slower death for the superheroes ^^), Genna X,...), but Time Travel's first chapter really knocked me over.
Keep it up Jon! But maybe stop announcing updates - you and I, and the other guys, we all know that your schedules don't work

Maybe it's because, imho, nothing really happened in this comic. The first chapter deals mainly with introducing the characters. The heroine has a crush on Jon, the two guys meet outside and the bigger one gets jealous, attacks Jon and starts beating him up. The next chapter shows the heroine changing into her costume, confronting the big guy and lifting him up. In the third chapter, she mainly holds him bent over and then throws him away. Ok, something did happen, but it felt like 2-3 strength feats in a thousand photos. I don't know how comic books like "Time Travel" would have worked with this style, because I imagine it to be quite hard to illustrate the whole "I come from a future where you defeated me, but in this time you don't even know me yet" setting with photos alone. But on the other hand, far more stuff happened in that comic.
So, I'm not completely sure if it's because of the style itself or the very compact plot that was stretched over three chapters that make this comic one of the not-so-good ones for my taste.
Anyways, I really liked shots like the close-up of the heroines stomach when the fist of the big guy hit her there. Those "superiority-shots" really work better with the new style, because there are no bounding boxes or text bubbles that block out half of the image. That said, I think Jon rightly put this one into the photo shoots section. It feels like a photo shoot, but with a hint of story. So maybe one shouldn't expect a good plot when viewing this one, but unfortunately I did

I know we're not supposed to take these things too seriously, but the guy doesn't notice that his girlfriend and Superbabe both have the same strange tattoo on their middle finger? That makes him dumber than Lois Lane ever was.

So in random order, the three I voted for;
1) Gemma Hiles. Just impossibly beautiful and looks terrific in any costume, she's perfect Supergirl material. I'd post more but seeing as she's leading the poll at the moment I'm sure other people can and will be along to praise her.
2) Danica. For much the same reasons as Gemma, that she looks absurdly good in the costumes, but more than that - 'A Super Wish' proved she can act, and act really well. That's maybe not something you can say about all the models who also appeared in SH videos, but she wasn't just merely 'ok' she was brilliant. Really sold the wonder at her transformation and the thrill of what she had become while looking both stunningly beautiful and thoroughly formidable. Seeing her come back to do a photo set would be great, but seeing her in another video would be an instant purchase.
3) Monica Harris. There's a name that's not mentioned much, probably because she only did a couple of shoots a very long time ago, but she's always been one of my faves. She's another insanely beautiful woman who can act too; when she's 'angry' she really looks like someone you would not want to cross, ever. I loved that. It'd be great to see her back, maybe to do a video; I somehow get the feeling she'd love powers of her own, for real, so in a video she might get into the whole thing the way Danica did.
It also doesn't hurt that I've met her and she's lovely.
There's so many other good ones, though - so who's your fave?

Emma Glover is probably my #2. Cute-style & very pretty face combined with a seriously bangin' body.
#3 would be the Asian girl that was featured a while back in one of those "supergirl vs supergirl" stories, but her name & stats aren't listed on the info page. Would love to see her again but I imagine she was a 1-and-done.

-Catherine, great face and smile, and hot of course...
-Emma Glover, pretty much for the same attributes - she's my top favourite
-Julie Woodward, also just hot, but the main reason is her dead cool facial expression in those "first person view" comics where the shots are taken from the perspective of some burglar who is beaten up by the heroine
Additionally, I would have voted for "Karolina", Helen Andrew, Layla Pearl, Sarah Sharpe, Tiffany White, Fiona Graham, and of course Danica+Gemma

I'm aware my reply is rather cynical but honestly I have seen him do this far too often now to take the guy seriously anymore.
It's a shame he cannot keep the website on track (let alone any of the others) because when he DOES actually manage to release something it is generally high quality material.
Also I just noticed he apparently figured it was a good idea to add yet another website to his portfolio...

You forgot to mention that when he actually does update, he backdates the items so the listed date is when they SHOULD have been posted instead of when they were actually posted, thus he hides his tardiness from those just discovering the site.

I just think he should let people know that the sites aren't going to be updated anymore (especially the monthly pay sites).

Very much agreed. Also, maybe he's busy setting up this "Female Future" project..

It's their perogative to keep the site up for archive purposes and to sell the old sets to new customers, so maybe that's what the sites have morphed into. As I said, though, $end some love to PSW, Cultretro, Heavenly Heroines and other publishers who appear to continue publish new stuff rather than pin your hopes -- and waste your breath -- on the ones that don't.

There are probably a lot of reasons for this, but I think the biggest is the communication issue. The Steele guy doesn't constantly bombard us with grandiose announcements about what he's going to do and then not do them. ifan's right, ultimately you vote with your wallet, and if a site isn't giving you a value for your money, then you don't pay him and that's that.spunk639 wrote: Everybody kicks the crap out of this guy, but what about steele sites no stories for months two sites and all photo sets, really? But he walks on water here. Wow.
In the case of SSH, I think what grabs us is how much effort gets put into everything else except creating new content. That includes repeatedly explaining and justifying why there isn't any new content. Since his last manifesto back in early May -- in which he said "I look forward to surprising you" and virtually begged people not to cancel their subscriptions -- he's posted a bunch of polls, teases and excuses, he's added TWO separate help & support sites, and apparently, as Revan noted, started work on yet another website. If he just disappeared that would be one thing. The almost comical degree to which he keeps promising and not delivering is what gets many of us riled up.
One thing that doesn't get said much, and probably should, is the fact that when he does publish something, it's usually pretty damned good. Hot girls, great costumes. Stories are redundant, but that's a problem throughout our genre. If his stuff was crap, we probably wouldn't care about any of this.

However, one simply can't seny the quality of the work when it does come out.
Why Jon has not moved to a pay-per-content model is beyond me.
