Cbs is doing upfront presentations on May 17th...and that would be a bet....
However i almost want to say they may either do it earlier or later. Supergirl has been getting a *lot* of attention, and while a trailer is obviously good, they may want to hold off to let there other shows sign, or get it out of the way.

Makes sense... from a purely business perspective, if you are already getting lots of attention, then you keep your powder dry until you need to shoot something out there to kickstart more enthusiasm.
Given the show is many months from showing, they don't want the enthusiasm to peak too early. But a month before the show airs... absolutely, if its good, play it all the time.
We're obviously a special bunch here, we can't be over-fed on this show, but the general public has a pretty short attention span on most shows before they air.

They had succeeded! After weeks of planning and years of research they had manage to infiltrate the set and add the precious elixir to the star's celebratory treat. Now they need only wait. Her powers would grow day by day until she would realize that there was no more need for her stunt double or indeed any but the most practical of practical effects. How could the show not be a hit when it would become so stunningly easy to show her flying and lifting anything she pleased? As long as the costume department could keep up with her figure becoming of genuinely comic book proportions that is.Her truest fans could wait. A little while more... Just a little more...

I would say this is an hour show. Dramas are never a half hour show in the past 10-15 years. They're always a 60 minute affair. Supergirl seems to be done as an Action Drama. Comedies are the type of show that is a 30 minute production time.

Its going to be interesting to see things like this - indeed the entire weekly commercial strewn legacy of network TV fight to survive against new formats like the burst-release hit Daredevil. I don't watch TV off the air and even with my extremely limited digital pipe I just buy the DVD/Blue-rays of entire seasons of shows I enjoy.
Funnily, I actually watch deliberately commercials now from time to time, just to see what passes for advertising these days since I encounter them so rarely.

It's not just CBS. And not just recently. I've been buying DVD/BLU/iTunes of shows I like since 2003. Forty minutes is the norm from the start.
I was quite pleased to find that Outlander (which I'm currently watching) comes in 65 minute episodes. Don't understand why five minutes more than an hour logic, but its the norm for that series. Perhaps they don't scroll the entire credits when broadcasting and so fit into an hour. They've got a really long credit reel.

Never ceases to amaze me how many actors nowadays "fake" their American accent on TV shows. Watching Homeland, I never would have guess David Harewood had an English accent....

I knew about a few of these. 2 and 3 are my favorites; 3 especially, because I'm hoping it means they won't replace this beauty with someone else later on... I'd be very happy if Melissa Benoist was Supergirl for several seasons!

For those of us who not yet seen Melissa in Whiplash, it's now playing on Starz.
Melissa-Benoist.com has a bunch of pics of Melissa on the set of her new film shooting in LA called Lowriders.
In those on set pics, her hair looks more lightly blonde and she looks more muscular than she looks in the leaked Supergirl pilot. At least, I think so.
