Movie is definitely set in WW I. Not sure why they went back a world war further from where the comic book started, but it should work just fine.

The one reason I can think of is, probably, to try and differentiate it from Capt. America: The First Avenger. By doing this, they felt they would avoid people drawing comparisons between the two (even though some ppl still do ).
Meh, Wonder Woman still looks great Looking forward to it
Peace.

andyf wrote: What do you guys think of the recently surfaced email from a suppose ex WB exeutive , who in a rant about the studios recent underperforming films slams Wonder Woman? Saying that the film is a mess and that the trailer , regardless of how good it looks can't hide the fact that the film is bad.
An anonymous previous WB employee who was laid off, and is protesting the 10% layoff he/she got caught in, is hardly an objective voice. My experiences, which include being laid-off and also laying people off in later jobs, is that people think and say all kinds of things during during such emotional moments. Most of which are not accurate.
But right or wrong -- who knows. I only know that people in such situations are rarely objective, and often have very negative views of their previous employer and the work, and are often looking for some kind of payback.
No surprise there.

Only time will tell if they were.
You can make educated assumptions and best "guesses", but won't know for sure until the film is released.
That's pretty much all I can realistically say about that letter.
The rest is up to each individual.
Hope that helps.
Peace.
