RUMOR: Supergirl Casting front-runner

Well....just a rumor -- both the casting AND the movie news, but its been mentioned that Mischa Barton (of O.C. fame) is one of the frontrunners to play a "fast-tracked" version of the Girl of Steel IF "Superman Returns" is successful at the box office.

From everything I've read/seen/heard, knowing Singer's quality of work, and based on how the public flocks like lemmings (myself included) to "cinematic events" like this, I'me fairly confident that it WILL be a success. Whether that means that Supergirl is then fast-tracked remains to be seen (I'm highly skeptical) but one can hope....

That being said, the casting rumor of Mischa Barton as Kara. Umm....(trying to think of how to spell the "throw up sound")....let's hope not!
Ms Barton is certainly attreactive but too waifish to play Supergirl. Did I happen to mention the atrocious/pouting supermodel acting quality also? I think this is one of those "Sandra Bullock is WW" rumors to help generate buzz, but I hope they do not give it serious consideration.

OK, LF, if you're so smart, who do you pick? Good question....umm, will have to think, but if TPTB were spending extra time over at the O.C. set to look at Mischa, another potential Kara is possibly standing right in fron tof them --- Olivia Wilda:

Getting off topic, I gotta say that President Logan is one of the best characters ever written for TV. What other character on TV has you constantly laughing and screaming at him for his ineptness and constantly making the "wrong call". The way Itzen plays him too - with the fake confidence, irrational stubbornness and his classic dear-in-the-headlights look is brilliant. Perfect segue after 3 seasons of David Palmer!

Liked the manip, just saying I really hope Mischa is NOT chosen for the role if it ever comes to fruition. My thoughts on this casting choice I think have been voiced enough in previous threads...
