You beat me to it! I was just getting ready to post this.
She looks really beautiful in this pic. Does anyone else want to see this show, like, tomorrow?

I mean, first, the script gets leaked and is widely panned, so they change it (at least from what I understand) and take the character more seriously. Then, a picture of the costume gets leaked and is widely panned, with the biggest complaints being the shiny pants and blue boots. They then change those to what most people were calling for.
I mean, it seems like they are actually listening to the fans. At least as much as they can anyway. Of course, some people are never going to be pleased...
I'm suspecting that these leaks are far from accidental. In my opinion the producers are working using them to check the deatils with the audience. It's a well known fact of psychology that anonimity is a geat tool to get people speaking.

Anyone curious, here is some more info on Shauna Duggins, the "other" WW in the pictures. Nice creds -- she was Jennifer Garner's stunt double on Alias and Jeri Ryan's on Star Trek, just to name a few....
She's a cutie, and a fine background there wonder what she'd look like as SG

The pilot script mentioned she could easily lift a truck above her head as well as a scene where she does one finger vertical push ups during training. If this show lasts at least one season, we might get some decent strength stuff.
Agreed, SK! In the filming yesterday, they had two gaffe that showcase super strength , at least in the legs. In one of the bids, you see her stunt double hit a mini trampoline and bound onto a car. I'd bet in final editing, that jump takes her OVER the car. Also, there was a report that the stunt double did a wire/rope descent into the scene from atop the theater as if to land from a super jump from the rooftop. Im optimistic we'll be pleased in her strength levels, providing it makes it to series.

I'm probably way off, but it would be an interested method of promotion and getting people talking about it, basically forcing NBC to pick up the pilot because the ratings, at least for the first ep, will he huge.
I know, I'm crazy.

All I know is it seems to be working! Good or bad, people are talking about the pilot and the costume. It was "trending" on twitter today (which takes a LOT of tweets/retweets) and even made the front page headline rotation on Yahoo earlier tonight. There is definitely a buzz that I haven't seen in a PILOT, if ever. Maybe I'm kidding myself othat but I don't remember this much buzz about any new series.

talk2sparky wrote: I haven't posted anything about this, but I got to thinking about this. First off, I love the costume. It's not perfect, but it's so much better than what we could have gotten. Now the general consensus is that they execs tweaked the costume because of the negative reaction, which may be true. BUT, what if, this all very deliberate? We had some leaked video on YouTube a while back of another actress auditioning for the role and she's doing a scene where Diana is complaining about a WW doll that doesn't really look like her, even saying "I wish I had breasts like this." And then the first costume pic we get is this very highly stylized, clearly photoshopped, with very accentuated breasts. Then we see the actual costume is much more tame. What if the promo photo is supposed to be like the doll, this over the top representation of her that Diana has to deal with as a modern superhero/CEO? It would fit in with what we've been reading about the pilot.

And here's a couple of more pics taken, compliments (and copyright) of the theSuperficial.com
Looking at the last one, I hafta shake my head in amazement when people post that she isn't "pretty enough". Lynda set the bar astronomically high, but this girl is beautiful as well...
I'll add the photos to the gallery as well....more stuff as I post it.

Sparky, you might not be far off....you are not the first to suggest the 'fake uniform' release. The gals at DCWomenKickingAss suggested the same theory -- well maybe not the doll connection -- but the misdirection was to garner publicity.

It's brilliant! People seem to be talking about Wonder Woman, and this TV show, at a pitch that I've never seen. By filming in public and letting regular people take pictures and make their own videos, they have ensured a steady supply of hype. I gotta think that NBC would be hard pressed to take a pass on this with all the public awareness surrounding the project.
Sure, you have the people who hate strong, independent women who will rip it no matter what is put out there but you can't tell me that there isn't just a little bit of curiosity, in even the haters, about what this show will look like in the end. The ratings for this premier will be huge, I'm willing to bet.

I think that -a side from the astronomicly high reference point - she's a different kind of beauty from what people expects. She's not the clean and cut beauty that people expects from a skin beauty commercial, but something more realistic a nd down to earth (up to a point).

Sad as it is, I think timeslots determine the success of new shows as much as anything. Will be interesting to see where they put it. If I were NBC -- and Chuck was renewed -- I'd piggyback them together on Monday nights.

Monday nights? Against Monday Night Football and WWE wrestling? I would prefer a different night but understand your reasoning.
Anyway, here is a database of pics from wenn.com (Credit for finding these goes to Andy Mangels @ comicbookresources.com and The Wonder Woman Museum):

Yeah...I snicker when people post things like "FAIL! This girl is NOT as beautiful as Aphrodite!" Can anyone post a recent photograph of Aphrodite for comparison?

It is Warner and NBC press machines working. Both companies has a lot of interest to make this show a blockbuster!

There some pictures on the 3/31 link that appear to show her fighting Darth Vader and The Tin Man. I wonder what that is about?
