ADRIANNE PALICKI DRESSED AS NEW WONDER WOMAN!!!!
There is hope.
[I'm not a fan of the entire "fail/epic fail" thing either - nothing constructive about it.]

The lady is all class, more than I can say about all the little trolls that lob cheap shots personally at the actress ("fugly", "tranny").
Find it interesting that Ms Carter seems so on board with the remake (even said she'd guest star). If memory serves, Lyndsey Wagner was not too complimentary on the BW remake

Yep, it´s shinning too much, but damn, its the first image. And it is SO MUCH better than some generic black outfit A La Smallville

To put it mildly, let's hope the people responsible for bringing WW back to TV do not have internet access. There are some really mean-spirited people on the internet and they are out in full force concerning this.
I don't mind people having opinions of course, but what I can't stand are those people who have to convince you that they are right and there is no possible way that you could have a differing opinion than them. It really seems like their head might explode at some point if they don't get their way.
The costume is fine in my opinion. Sure, it could use a few changes here and there but that is no reason to act like the world is ending because we are not going back to the '70s costume.

"Trukk not Munky" , or the only constant of every fandom is complains. True the new WW look from the comics doesn't work, but I still think that complaining based on nothing but a picture are crazy.

I like it, hot girl in bright sexy costume, yeah the boots could be red or she could have been bare-legged etc, but it's not bad.

Besides, we don't even know if that's the final costume. Could have been just a pic from a test shoot, leaked to the net for feedback.
just sayin......

According to the makeup artist, it is the final version. Any changes would be minimal, but doubtful...

As a leg man, I sometimes find pants exighting, like in the 9 sesons of The X-Files, I could imagine agent Scully annyway I wanted to, sometimes with the long wirey legs of a dancer, othertimes with the smooth powerfull scullcrushers of a off season female body builder.
I guess I like the pants, they make for fammaly friendly female empowerment, and the secret saucey fun for folks like my self.
Nice compermise I would say.

But how to be positive with such a mess! And what a mess!
There is one thing I don't understand : I heard everyone saying that this Wonder Woman's costume is supposed to be a compromise, but what compromise ??!!
Just watch in Smallville : Black Canary's costume is sexy as hell, Maxima was very sexy too, there was no compromise !
So stop talking nonsense : don't make me believe that the writers have to compromise for prime time!

It seems that no one can make you believe anything.
First, how can you deem this new show a "mess" when you have not seen one second of film?
Second, do you really think that Wonder Woman's star spangled bathing suit costume is going to work in prime time here in 2011?
Hey, I'm a guy and I would love to see it but I understand the need to modernize it (i.e. tone it down) in order to sell it to viewers and, most importantly, advertisers.
This is the compromise, the top of the costume is basically the same as the "traditional" costume while the bottom was changed to more like what is in the current comics. What's wrong with that?
Third, who cares what Smallville has done? It has no relevance to Wonder Woman's TV show.
I just can't stand people that whine about stuff before they have even seen the final product. I read somewhere that she might have several different costumes during the course of the show but I have no idea if that is true or not. If so, great! If not, no biggie, I'll survive.
What's really going to make this show is the writing. If it sucks, then, after it airs, I'll be on here with you calling for its cancellation. Until then, I'm just going with the flow...

I'm not entirely thrilled about the costume or casting; however, I am glad that WW is returning. I love the top, but the bottom is not great - at least they changed the boots back to red. Yes, she kinda has a flat bottom (not to my liking) but finding a 5'11" hottie that can act better than the Tannit Phoenix audition tape is worth something. I didn't particularly dig her appearance on Smallville as Kara v.1, I still liked the fact she was there, despite not being the perfect vision I had in my head, much like Lara Vandervufferningsstlkjer as Kara v.2. I did eventually fall for LV as I am sure I will like AP as WW - who will be the focus.
I, like most here, don't like the idea of David E. Kelly taking this, but I refuse to buy into or out of this series based on a bunch of production stills and rough IPhone vids without post production.
I will buy stock in this series having some absolute horrible bull sh%t and some awesomely kick ass bad assery.
I'll split the difference and DVR every episode and watch until its as horrible as the cynics prophetically hypothesize it will be.
Until then, call me "Mr. Benefit of the Doubt Because I Really Want Wonder Woman to Reappear".
No, really, I f&#@ing want a WW feature and/or series.
AND I WANT A SUPERGIRL SMALLVILLE SPINOFF!!!
NEXT..... bring me a Caitlin Fairchild series and/or movie (cuz I like redheads).
'Nuff said.

You're right jdrock24. But I don't deem the show, I'm just only complaining about the actress choice for playing Wonder Woman. For me, Wonder Woman is the symbol of femininity and Adrianne Palicki is too androgynous, she has not enough breast, not enough butt, not enough curves to play Wonder Woman.
Concerning my reference to Smallville, I just wanted to demonstrate that sexy Superwomen could go on prime time.

I think Adrianne is nearly perfect and the biggest reason for that is her smile. Lynda Carter's body wasn't what did it for me back in the day, it was the way she smiled and Adrianne has a great smile.
