This story has a sequel: Omni: Pretty Cure

Art by Meowniac, HuieiiNa, keroroblack and Tousaki Umiko

Hi everyone! My name is Cincirino and I will be your first person narrator today! Why should you care, you ask? Well, in case you didn't know me, I am the world-famous mascot of the strongest Pretty Cure in all of history! I am cute as a button and have all the ladies charmed. As a matter of fact, I’m so popular I even have a toy line with plushies and action figures! Sadly, people tend to confuse me with a normal chinchilla because of my appearance, but for your information, I am one of the most powerful mages in Faerieland. Everyone trembles before my might! No, don't laugh! It's true I promise! I may look like a small gray rodent but I can make people’s wishes come true, I can give them the power of the Cures.

What is a Cure, you ask? Oh sorry, I thought everyone in the world knew what a Pretty Cure was already? Isn't it taught at school nowadays or something? Fret not, dear reader, I'll explain it right away! Ahem.

Pretty Cures are legendary warriors infused with the power of magic, friendship and love. Whenever a villainous villain from Penumbra invades the real world, me and my companions, the magical mascots, must follow suit and prepare three (or four, if necessary) young women from your dimension for battle. We bestow upon them incredible powers that help them combat the evil hordes which threaten to suck all love and compassion from Earth! They are beautiful maidens (with a bit of an attitude) and we choose them based on their purity and predisposition to do the right thing. If they have a strong will and heart, they are the perfect candidate to handle the responsibility that comes with such a great power. They also need to be friends and cooperate with each other in order to work properly as a team because as formidable as they are, their enemies are also gifted with relentless might and nothing to lose.

The powers of a Pretty Cure are selected to prepare them for enduring countless battles and taking damage while dishing out a lot more. The tools we provide for them to transform change their physiology, technically replacing their entire body for a better one at a molecular level. They possess incredible strength, stamina and speed, each one equivalent to that of a hundred strong human men, varying in intensity depending on which Cure of the trio we’re talking about. They also have many other powers that may prove useful in fighting against evil like talking to animals, telepathy, divination, self-propelled flight and the ability to blast their enemies with energy attacks. They can also harness this energy into their magical tools to create even more powerful attacks. The Cures tend to give these attacks childish names, but we mages know them for what they are: energy beams created by the unadulterated love for all life that resides in their hearts. This same love is the one that inspired the first and most important rule in the non-written Cure's rulebook: "Never kill, if someone can be saved, they will be saved by the power of love and friendship." There have even been times when an enemy has been converted into a Cure through this.

We tend to choose teenagers as Cures because that stage of life is typically when humans feel stronger emotions which helps them fight for the right cause. While most Cures in history have been considered conventionally attractive from an earthling point of view, their Cure form usually takes that beauty to a new standard of perfection while keeping their original features recognizable enough, dressing them up with an attire proper of magical warriors, hence why we call them Pretty Cures.

Cures usually reject their powers once they defeat their designated villain because they prefer to live a normal, quiet life without dangerous stuff and then pass the torch to the next generation of magical girls. My case, however, was a little bit different. While I'm the latest magical guardian mascot of the Pretty Cure lineage, my superiors made a mistake when they linked me to the source of the magical power that Cures feed upon from. This power is taken from an energy well that stores the leftovers of the love Cures from past iterations left in their tools, we mix it together, transform it into raw magical power and infuse the new tools with it. Let's say that, in my case, they linked me to ALL the power in the well.

I couldn't contain so much magic in my body and I was forced to quickly infuse a single tool with it so I could survive. This tool had the form of a beautifully crafted glove covered in rubies and diamonds. With the other tools now useless it had become impossible to prepare three maidens for the ritual, it was a horrible situation! However, my superiors went easy on me because they were to blame too. Now I had only one magical tool in my hands so I could transform just one human with it! Would it be enough? Assuming that the power of all the hundreds of past Cures was inside, I didn't even know if it would work without tearing the poor little girl that was supposed to wear it apart! Should it work though, I guess it would give my assigned Cure enough power to deal with the crisis at hand by herself. This was unprecedented though and I was very nervous, the villain this time was Count Diabolikus, a very ugly vampire lord that wanted to conquer the world and drink the blood of children so he could always stay young and powerful. For how hideous he was, he had always been a narcissistic madman, and now he had entered the human world through a dimensional rift. He had to be stopped no matter the cost!

The soon-to-be Cure was called Momo Hanamura, a beautiful name for an equally beautiful girl in her late high school years, a little bit old for Cure standards but I was told she had a wonderful soul and tons of potential, so fine by me. It always amazed me how almost all Cures came from Japan. Is there something special with that place on Earth or what? Well, it was my first time guiding a Cure, but the manual said I had to pay her a visit first and explain the situation to her in a way that wouldn’t make her understand its importance, a difficult task indeed!

I used my magic to open a portal to the real world, carrying the glove in my paws. Apparently it was so powerful my spells weren't enough to contain the tool in a compressed form. I also took care of making myself invisible to normal humans so only Momo could see me. Eventually I found her soul signature. It was so powerful and breathtaking I couldn't ignore it. I saw her through the window of her bedroom, the 16-year-old girl was wearing the uniform of her school; a white blouse with a gray jacket and a blue Scottish-patterned skirt, her legs were covered in a black pantyhose. She was combing her hair in the mirror which let me appreciate her features.

She was incredibly gorgeous and elegant. Her hair was long enough to reach her waist with a beautiful and unusual color for a Japanese woman: mahogany. Her blue eyes resembled sapphire gemstones, like the giant ones we had back home that granted wishes.

“Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww you are so cute! Where did you come from?”

I was so lost in this imagery that I didn't notice she was already in front of me. She opened the window and carelessly grabbed me with her hand like another one of her plushies. My sudden screams scared her, causing her to drop me on her bed. From what I could see, her room was incredibly girly and smelt of cinnamon.

“What are you? A new robot toy or something? You scared the bejeezus out of me!” her voice sounded really cute even when she was disturbed. She could have been an idol if she wanted but perhaps she was too young?

“I'm not! I'm Cincirino, your magical guardian mascot! I'm here to guide you through the world of the Pre…”

She fainted. Apparently humans were not used to dealing with magical creatures from other worlds like myself. After she woke up I spoke with her for a bit. I learned that she found me so unusual because humans live very mundane lives with little interaction with magic and supernatural powers in general, so seeing a cartoon rodent talking would obviously freak them out.

After she calmed down, I tried to talk to her again about the Pretty Cures. She reluctantly listened to what I had to say. At this point I didn’t think she would believe me but at least she patiently sat there with me while I was describing her future job.

I explained to her that we needed her in order to save the world, and that she was the only one able to harness the power of the Cures and restore everything to its natural order. She accepted that I needed to live with her to guide her through her perils. She didn’t immediately give me an answer even after insisting a few times, but after telling her that I didn’t need food she decided it was okay.

For the next days I attended school with her, carried inside her bag. She was really popular and well-liked by her classmates, plus she had excellent grades and model behavior. It was obvious she was a responsible person and, most importantly, the right one to carry the burden of being a soldier of justice and love.

“Momo, we have been together for a week by now, have you thought of trying on the glove? You have to stop Count Diabolikus before it’s too late!” I said while we were walking home from school, perched on her shoulder.

“Oh fine! I’ll try it on in this alley!”

I handed her the glove, she looked a little scared and I tried my best to comfort her. It was such a big responsibility and we didn't know what effects such a powerful tool would have on a young girl like her. Normally it wouldn't matter because the usual magical items didn’t have so much power. Nonetheless, we had to take our chances or we were doomed.

“I believe in you Momo, you can do this! These last few days with you have proven to me that you deserve to be the chosen one.” She didn't even treat me like a mascot, but like the intelligent being with real feelings that I was. Just a few minutes before she did something that most humans in her place wouldn't have, sharing her ice cream with me after mine fell to the floo. That and many other little things that she had done for me were enough to have faith in her.

“I-If you say so, I'll try my best!”

Still a bit unsure, the teenage girl put on the glove and marveled at its beauty, the rubies and diamonds glimmered as it slid perfectly through her delicate fingers and her eyes reflected its wonderful sheen. An explosion of light blinded us both and when I opened my eyes I saw what was probably the most beautiful Pretty Cure I had ever laid my eyes on in my life. I only knew about the last ones because of their portraits but she was just so radiant, emitting this colorful aura of purity and beauty, that they looked ugly in comparison. Her eyes still had their magnificent sapphire color but now looking at them was like staring directly into a blue dwarf.

Her slender and compact frame was now contained within a reddish pink dress with some whites. She had many ribbons adorning her attire, a big one around her waist and four smaller ones on her chest, plus one on each boot. Her hair, including her eyebrows and eyelashes, became totally pink, but of a lighter shade than her clothes. It suddenly grew even bigger and tied itself into two incredibly long twintails that almost touched the floor. It looked so silky and perfect that I had to refrain myself from touching it, I didn't want to ruin it with my dirty, clunky paws.

The glove transformed into a heart shaped gem just over her chest ribbons, it had a hypnotic blue color and symbolized the infinite and everlasting quality of her majestic power. She had become an actual warrior of love. This confirmed that under normal circumstances she would have become the leader of the group. Her earrings and other accessories were heart shaped as well except for two star stickers on her left cheek. There was no doubt now, she was the incarnation of love, friendship and hope.

She appeared to be really aware of her strange appearance because she immediately grabbed her puffy, frilly skirt to check if all of this was actually happening or if, by chance, she was in a dream. Me? I couldn't help but gaze at her, mouth agape, marveled at who was easily the most beautiful and powerful Cure in history. As much as I was impressed by her awesome looks, the important mission I had to complete quickly dawned on me. In front of me was a new heroine in the making, and it was my job to guide her as best as I could. I handed her a mirror to take a look at herself and she instantly blushed, incapable of believing the girl in the reflection was her. She then touched her own face, it was so soft, and at the same time, it somehow made sense that it was. She looked like she had just applied makeup on her face but it was all natural. I let her have a moment to digest everything but she felt so lost, I knew she was also struggling with the sudden spike of power she was experiencing. Her metabolism was changing at incredible speeds and fed her a sense of greatness she had never felt before. I could notice her magical power growing with each passing second in her lithe teenage body, by now dwarfing even the strongest mages of Faerieland.

“Is this me…?”

“Yes Momo, you have become a Pretty Cure, a warrior that fights for love, justice, friendship and the well-being of the weak and unprotected, your task is clear now.”

“This is all… so strange and embarrassing but… right now I feel like I could do anything I wanted if I tried…”

“While that may be true, Momo, you have the responsibility to defeat evil now. The people of this world need you, they can't do it themselves, but now you can!”

“But… I don't know where to begin.” Of course, it would have been hard to explain this to a high schooler, but luckily I had been trained for this exact situation.

“You will have to hide this from your friends and family, we don't want them to be put in danger and risk your status as a heroine! So from now on you will be using a different name when you transform.”

“W-what name?”

“Henceforth, you shall be known as… ummm… Cure Unity! The savior of the world!”

“That's too cheesy! Give me another name please, anything but that!”

“Oh come on, it’s fine. And just so you know, you are more powerful than any Cure because your power comes from all of them put together, so Unity is a fitting name.”

“M-more powerful?” Cure Unity could feel the energy building up inside her, so much so that she felt the need to let it out somehow. She had started practicing ballet a few weeks before so she tried some moves just to let out some of that energy. Not only was she able to successfully perform every dance move she attempted, but she also realized that she was doing it super fast. “Wow, I feel so light!”

Dust particles and wind started to shape into a current around the dancing heroine’s spinning body until she overexerted and a tornado began to form around her. Street animals ran in the opposite direction, terrified of her casual display of power. The concrete floor cracked and the roof tiles of the neighborhood began to loosen and fly away along with the leaves on the trees, which were being shaken violently. I held tight to a streetlight with my paws, struggling to resist the waves of wind that threatened to blow me away.

“Unity, stop! That's enough! You have to control your power!” She stopped and observed her ruined surroundings. The horrified Cure covered her precious pink lips with her manicured hands in surprise.

“Oh wow… I-I did that…? Sorry…”

“Yeah, you are definitely more powerful than a regular Cure so you will have to train to control your powers better in the future. Don't worry though, that's why I'm here. To help you!”

“Really? Thank you! W-what do I have to do now? I feel so out of place, but at the same time, my body feels incredible, like I can do anything!”

“Mmm… and that's because you probably can… you see that streetlight? I want you to test your strength. A Pretty Cure should be strong enough to dent metal with a well-placed punch or kick.”

She was surprised by my proposition but Momo didn't waste a moment, she felt powerful enough to do it, her doubts and insecurity were disappearing fast. Using a tiny fraction of her leg strength Cure Unity kicked the streetlight that saved my life just before and didn't bruise it at all. Because what it did was melt it, Unity's kick cut through the metal like butter, a few drops of the molten mass fell on her body but they weren't able to burn her skin or her clothes. Cure Unity stopped almost at the end of the post and watched as the 30 feet tall structure fell like a tree after being cut by a chainsaw, luckily it didn't fall over anyone's house. We both were so impressed with that casual display of strength that we couldn't even speak for a few seconds. She let herself go again almost instinctively and embraced part of the fallen streetlight. My sweet Momo pressed her body against the metal and it yielded instantly, acquiring the shape of the body that was deforming it. She even played with the metal in her hands and twisted it around with incredible ease, all while looking curious and confused. It was obvious she wasn't putting any effort into it, this amazing feat had barely tested her strength, if at all.

“I was told Cures had the strength of a hundred warriors, but this…”

“I guess I'm very, very strong…”

“Oh, I can see that, dear. Don't worry, I will fix this mess.” With my magic I successfully repaired the damage Momo had caused and restored the alley to its previous condition. I was sure she could do that with far more ease than me but I didn't want to give away too much information so soon. I could still see the rush of adrenaline a girl gets the first time she becomes a Pretty Cure in her eyes.

“No need to worry about the dress, it will be in mint condition the next time you activate the glove!”

“These things make no sense.”

“That's why we call them magic!”

We were heading out of the alley when all of the sudden Momo took me in her arms and jumped into the sky. Apparently, a car was about to run us over, good thing her reaction speed had become unquantifiably faster. Oh, and she jumped very high, so high that we broke through a whole layer of clouds. I squeaked and almost peed myself, scared of the fact that we were at two thousand feet above sea level. I could see the entire city from there, it was glorious, we were higher than even the tallest skyscrapers but … we weren't falling. I then fully realized that Cure Unity, my dear companion who saved me from certain death, could fly on command.

“I-I can fly too?” She exclaimed with a share of both incredulity and excitement. I tried my best to calm down, I hadn’t been prepared for such thrills.

“Apparently you can, and it also seems that you are stupidly overpowered, that glove is ridiculous. For instance, Pretty Cures should be able to jump pretty high and fly for a while, yes, but not like this!”

“This is the greatest feeling ever… Everything looks so beautiful from up here…”

“Momo we have to go back home, I can help you control this power. We must train... well, at least a little…” We needed to do it before the enemy arrived in a few days. I didn't have a doubt that Cure Unity would be able to defeat Diabolikus with ease, but I didn't want her to cause too much collateral damage.

“Ok!” And with that answer we flew back home. I made sure to cast an invisibility spell on us so no one could see a magical girl and her pet chinchilla in the sky.

As expected, a dimensional portal appeared a few days later in the middle of Tokyo Bay. The Council informed me that Diabolikus’s troops were already being deployed; legions of blood-sucking vampires that wanted to conquer the city and use it as headquarters to plan the invasion of the world.

It was Saturday so Momo luckily didn’t have to attend school. I woke her up and she understood what she had to do right away. We had been training for days to control Unity's ridiculous power and now she could somehow regulate her strength and speed when fighting. Her reflexes were optimal, plus she learned how to fly with grace and summon blasts of pure magical energy. Normally, Cures took months to manifest those advanced abilities, let alone control them and with much less raw power than Momo, but she was shaping up to be a prodigy of sorts.

I also learned that Momo had been using Cure Unity to boost her intelligence and memory to study for the exams so that she could get straight A's. Momo didn’t know it but I was always there, watching Unity reading through hundreds of pages of books like nothing, devouring their knowledge in a matter of seconds. Sometimes it was scary to think about what would happen if Cure Unity got out of hand, her power was seemingly growing every day and affected all of her physical and magical abilities.

What happened that day was a battle of epic proportions. Or that’s what I would usually have told you.

In their first encounter with the villain, the Cures always get beaten up and they have to defeat a number of henchmen first to show that they can take on the big bad but Diabolikus here couldn’t have predicted the incredible strength of my protégée. Before I could get ready to assist Momo she had already left home. I flew at my maximum speed to where I thought Momo went and it turned out my hunch was right. Tokyo Bay was already filled to the brim with powerful vampires destroying buildings and battleships with their superior magical technology while mounting their dark dragons. They were terrorizing the JSDF with ease since their bullets and missiles couldn't even penetrate the magical shields of the enemy. People were being told to run to the shelters in droves, everyone was screaming and crying in this maelstrom of chaos.

“LOVE LOVE LOVE MAGICAL PRETTY POWER! FUSION OF SOULS! CURE UNITY IS HERE!”

After I heard those words, I became confident that love wouldn't be defeated that day. Cure Unity, the savior of the world, wouldn't stay put in front of such malice and destruction. Instead, she would end this madness and bring a smile to everyone's face.

She appeared in front of the main ship and her aura exploded into pink fireworks. Count Diabolikus manifested into his ship's deck, surrounded by a cloud made of bats and raised his hand while letting his long, black cape float, addressing the super-powered teenager that was challenging him.

“Stupid Pretty Cure! It's too late, I prepared myself for this and unlike you, I'm not alone! You cannot end the reign of Count Diabolikus! My vampires will suck everyone's blood and will fill this world with cruelty and darkness! But, knowing that you cannot win, I still offer you to be my queen. Of course, you will have to surrender and betray your world. Well? What do you answer to that?!”

“I will never do that! I must protect the people I love!” She responded like a true Cure.

And then it happened. Something nobody, not even me, expected. Most of the vampire army saw their machines suddenly rendered useless. Cure Unity was blowing them up with her powerful kicks and punches at such a speed that made it seem like something invisible and impossibly fast was destroying everything in its way, killing the vampires in the process. These invincible beings created by pure magic who could withstand Japan's best artillery like nothing were being eliminated in a matter of seconds by this overpowered pink girl that looked like she came from a Saturday morning cartoon. Count Diabolikus watched in fear as his enemy resisted the simultaneous fire breath of three dragons without a scratch and he realized that he couldn't stand a chance against a force of this caliber. No matter how many blows or magical blasts she took, her body simply absorbed it all. Even the vampires that tried to pounce on her to suck her blood saw themselves being literally vaporized by her radiant aura.

In less than a minute, his entire army had ceased to exist and Cure Unity found herself floating in front of his battleship, an enormous flying vehicle with the shape of a bat. It was made of impossium, a mineral that resisted and reflected magical power. Diabolikus had a sly smile on his face. He was trying to cover for his very understandable fear.

“You may have defeated my legions but that doesn't mean you can win!” Unfortunately for him, Diabolikus was incorrect. Just a single punch from Unity was enough to break the strong material and tear the ship apart, the explosion could be seen from space.

And just like that, a threat to humanity itself was destroyed in a minute by this wonderful Pretty Cure who wielded a power no other could rival. Everyone was cheering and celebrating for their victorious heroine. No one knew what she looked like because she was too far away for anyone to properly recognize her, but for years to come Japanese people would come to revere her as their paladin.

Momo teleported right next to me. Apparently she had learned how to do that too, or maybe she was just that fast. She changed into her normal appearance and smiled with a level of satisfaction that was infectious.

“Well, I guess you didn't need me after all, Momo.”

“Don't say that Cincirino! If it wasn’t for your training, I could have killed a lot of innocent people with collateral damage alone. Thanks to you, I could polish my powers and obtain the finesse necessary to safely defeat Diabolikus.” She was becoming more intelligent and articulate as time progressed. The way she talked was composed and elegant, another side effect of Unity's superior intellect, I supposed.

“Your powers are incredible, you did really well. I'm honestly a little sad I couldn't spend more time with you. Normally this takes months or even a full year, but you were too efficient…”

“So, you have to return to the Council and inform them?”

“Yes, Momo, and I need you to return the glove to me. I’m sorry I have to leave you…”

“Oh…”

Eight human years have passed since I parted ways with Momo. Although we were only together for a few weeks, I have always felt that we were meant to work together forever. We formed a pretty intimate bond and I quickly got used to the comfort of her home.

I kept wondering what became of her after all that time so I bugged the Council about it. They reluctantly told me that she became a single mother of two healthy sons and went to work in a prestigious marketing firm in Tokyo--Before that she worked as a model for a lingerie brand, funnily enough. I even obtained a photo of her during her modelling years.

She had a house of her own and… it seemed that she still used the glove in order to stop criminals. Apparently, she took them to the police afterward, perhaps she felt that her power was being misused and wanted to do the right thing. Rumors spread that she operated in many countries and that was why the crime rate in Asia lowered to half of what it used to be.

Oh! I think I forgot to tell you! I didn't manage to take back the glove to the Council. Because of that, they got pretty angry at me and banished me. I couldn't attend their meetings anymore, all for defending Momo, who didn't want to lose the glove. She wanted to keep doing heroic stuff with it, and frankly I didn’t blame her. I figured that if the Council didn't take it by force, it was because they couldn't. I heard that Momo had gotten really good with her powers and there was no one able to defeat her, so the only option would have been persuading her to return the tool. However I couldn't bring myself to do that because let's be honest, the tool was in good hands. Also, she… she saved me from certain death that one time and I couldn't just take away what was rightfully hers, she deserved to have that power even if it was disrupting the natural cycle.

November the 3rd, that was the day when I decided to take matters into my own paws and escape Faerieland to visit Momo. I wanted to talk with her, I needed to. I broke out in the middle of the night, evaded the guards and used the teleporter to Tokyo. If I followed the glove’s signal, I could certainly find her.

It was morning, 7:00 AM. I took my sweet time to find her new home, a tiny detached house in an ordinary neighborhood of the Chiba prefecture. Two floors, a little garden, small enough to be cozy. It was a nice place to raise kids, but I felt sad for her having to raise them alone. What happened to the father? Could he have abandoned her after finding out about the glove, possibly scared of her power? I couldn't know anyway and I wasn't going to ask. Using my invisibility I spied on the two kids, 5 and 3 year olds respectively, through the living room’s window. They were an energetic pair, watching a show on TV and imitating the hero on the screen, who was doing ridiculous poses. “Wow.” I said to myself. “If you only knew what your mother did a few years ago.”

Then I finally saw Momo. She was… gorgeous, like a flower blooming in spring. Her body had grown in just the right places, now at 24 years old she had developed an incredible supermodel figure. Her beauty, far more delicate and pure in the past, had become the archetype of a sexual bombshell; a goddess of lust. Her breasts were enormous, obvious proof that she breastfed in the past. Her legs were long and thick and strong but not overly muscular. Her bubble butt was a piece of art as was her face, retaining the magnificence from her youth while looking more mature and wiser.

She was a marvel to behold, wearing a dark jacket over her beige blouse and tight blue jeans. She had apparently also put on underwear for women with extra size, and it showed. Her mahogany mane was collected in a cute ponytail that left her glasses unobscured, giving her a more mysterious appearance and accentuating the miracles of the universe that were her blue eyes. Oh no, I wasn't in love with Momo or something like that, but anyone in their right mind would have recognized that she was smoking hot.

Oh my… she must have married so young, and all to be alone again so soon… she needed my help more than ever!

“Shingo! Seiji! What have I told you about yelling? One of these days you’re going to make me lose it!” She was very strict with her sons, which was appropriate. It was cute to see how she had become such a good and responsible mother. She was trying her best, and she was doing it alone while not cheating with her powers. “Come on, go play elsewhere, I have to clean the living room!”

“Yes, mom!” they said at unison.

Momo suddenly checked if no one was watching and when she was certain of it, she put on the glove. But she didn't transform, not entirely at least, she only made her right hand change and then used it to lift the heavy couch with ease, one-handed, in order to use the vacuum cleaner under it. It was incredible how advanced her mastery of the transformation had become, enough for her to be able to transform only certain parts of her body into Cure Unity. A few seconds later she put the furniture down just as effortlessly.

“Cincirino, I know you’re there!”

“B-but how? I was invisible! There was no possible way for you to…”

She made her glove sparkle while smirking, she was clearly happy to see me again.

“I missed you so much, Cinciripino! I knew you would come to see me again one day! Especially with the things the Council must have told you!” Momo grabbed me with her hand and somehow I could phase through the glass without breaking it. The room felt different, it was like everything was covered in a strange pink filter. “With this barrier on, the kids cannot see us talk. Don't worry about them though, time has completely stopped outside of the barrier.”

“W-what? How do you know those things? Stopping time? Pretty Cures cannot do that!” This made no sense, these abilities, the way she was smiling like she knew something I didn't.

“You have been informed very well and you did an incredible thing when you created the glove. Thanks to the power of my ancestors, I can combat crime more efficiently than quite literally anyone else. Its powers are so great that I have even become…” She paused, ready to drop the bomb on me. She was so enthusiastic. It was as if she had been waiting years to tell me. “Omnipotent.”

“W-what?”

“You don't believe me? When I transform into Cure Unity I become so powerful that I can do anything I want without any cost. For example, stopping time everywhere in the Universe but this tiny frame of space was such a trivial task, it doesn't even waste magic power.” I couldn't believe this, Cures were powerful, but this was ridiculous, she was telling me that my mistake basically transformed her into a God, how could this be?

“Yes, I suppose you could say I'm a God.” she said after casually reading my mind. “But it doesn't matter, I clearly have surpassed the evolutionary potential of every lifeform that have ever existed. Even then, I don't want to play on easy difficulty. Living a quiet life with my sons in Japan is fine by me, and I can still combat crime and not get caught because of my powers.”

“When you say it like that, it sounds like a really good life.”

“It is, especially since I got full custody of Seiji and Shingo, I wouldn't dare to ruin this day talking about their father, so please understand me.” It was pleasant, being able to talk with Momo like that, she had become a wonderful person that didn't abuse her power. I was totally right in my decision of letting her keep the glove.

Suddenly I watched everything change outside of our little pink room. I initially thought Momo had made time resume, but I quickly noticed everything was moving backwards.

“What… What is this?!”

“The Universe is going back in time half an hour but we are not being affected. I noticed that I was going to be late for work and I also had to leave the kids at the daycare center. Now that I cleaned the living room in the future I will have time when we go back to the past.”

She was talking about casually playing with time for doing petty things like this, she was so powerful. So much that I started to feel really small in her presence, and I was already diminutive enough.

“Incredible! You can turn back in time… what else can you do?”

“Everything! You can watch me catch criminals tonight if you want to see for yourself how powerful I have become, what do you say? Wanna relive the old times together?”

“I would be honored!”

“Then after all is said and done, come stay with us today, I promise my children will love you!” She was so cute with her goofy smile and her fingers intertwined in such a feminine way. But that didn't sound good at all, I predicted I was going to be used as a toy.

Time and space returned to their normal state in the room and Momo took the glove off. I had a wonderful morning with her happy family. The little one, Seiji, was so sad for not being able to spend more time with me and having to go to daycare that he cried. Anyway, they came back and we played together. I also talked with Momo about her life until now and her godly powers while drinking her delicious tea. She kept getting more impressive with each sentence and I wondered what she had in store for me that night.

It was 9:00 PM after dinner and Momo had just put the kids to bed. They were sleeping like little angels after an entire day of pulling my cheeks and throwing me around. I was tired but still eager to watch Cure Unity in all of her pink glory. When we were outside the house and no one was looking, she put on the glove again. The pink fireworks were much more intense than the last time. I would have been worried for someone peeking on us if I didn't know that Momo had no limits to her powers, so she could freeze space and time to perform her transformation in peace. It was such a beautiful explosion of colorful, magical hearts that it probably could be seen from space due to how vibrant her aura was. Regardless, I couldn't prepare myself for the sight that I had in front of me.

I thought Cures retained their teenage body types whenever they transformed, but I was proven wrong. Her body was just as spectacular and voluptuous as the motherly and thick appearance she had before the transformation but now she had become even more slender and sharper without losing her incredibly large breasts. I had to close my eyes, she was showing too much meat, because, surprise! She wasn't even wearing her old attire, instead choosing to dress in a skimpy outfit that left almost nothing to the imagination, a tight pink bikini with underwear pieces that weren't even big enough to contain her godly and sexy frame, plus a set of daring latex garter belt and gloves. It was incredible though, as revealing and unchaste as that outfit was, it somehow helped to illustrate how powerful she was? It's hard to explain. She was a woman with a supermodel body in a girly bikini with heart-shaped accessories and earrings, big ribbons and two giant pink twintails and I still felt that a goddess was in front of me, she was 165 cm tall but for all I knew that petite and busty mother of two had just become the strongest person in the Universe, as simple as that. Her smug smile and confidence while in those clothes gave me a precise forecast of what was about to happen. After a few seconds she noticed I was there, she had been enthralled in an erotic power rush. She put her arms under her giant, perfectly firm breasts to support them. It didn't matter anyway because they defied gravity and made a rhythmic and natural bouncing motion when she walked towards me that spoke leagues of their softness. I opened my eyes and witnessed her body, starting with her neverending legs. She promptly blushed and nervously played with one of her earrings.

“Well… how do I look?”

“Absolutely pristine and gorgeous Momo. You have certainly grown into a beautiful woman. I'm very proud.”

“Geez, you keep saying these weird things! You’re embarrassing me!”

“Wait, why did you ditch the old uniform? Don't you feel cold in the middle of the night with only that on?”

“Uh… I don't know, I just feel better in this one, is there a problem with it? Want me to change?”

“No, no, I wouldn't dare to tell you what to do. Ummm… so, what are we going to do tonight?”

“We are going to stop some interdimensional criminals your dear Council doesn't even know about, a dangerous overlord called Buri Buri and his henchmen have escaped Penumbra and want to conquer the world, and I will stop them!”

With her abilities fully matured, it was no wonder why she had so much confidence in herself, also, her knowing that meant … “Yes, I visited Penumbra and Faerieland, I prefer the latter though. I have an eye on most criminals from your dimension and I know when they enter Earth at any time. I'm far more efficient than the Council, don't you think so?”

“It seems that way, and where are these criminals you speak of?”

“In a dark tower with four floors, but we will need to travel to the Mojave Desert in the United States to reach it.”

“But that's really far away! Without a teleporter, it would take dozens of hours to reach it!”

And then I was proven wrong. Without saying anything, Cure Unity hugged me and jumped so incredibly high that I almost fainted from the extreme speed. She cut through air with no resistance at all and when I opened my eyes to inspect our surroundings, all I saw was the vastness of outer space as our background. I marveled at the beauty and infinity of the Universe, which was now Unity's playground. From here, Earth was beautiful, I could see all of it: continents, oceans, islands, everything. We were out of orbit, free from Earth's gravitational pull, which didn't seem to bother Cure Unity anyway. We stopped though, Momo and I had landed on the Moon's surface with so much force that part of it had been destroyed, it was a huge blast and many kilometers of rock were vaporized but I could only see this from far away because a second later we were already charging right into Earth's atmosphere. Yes, Momo had only used the Moon's surface as a convoluted and eccentric way of propelling herself. Technically we could have reached the Mojave without all that overstylish paraphernalia but she just wanted to impress me. It was cute in a way, watching Momo laugh as we entered Earth's atmosphere at an astounding speed. She was on fire right now but not even that could hurt her in the least.

We finally reached the desert completely unharmed, even if we fell at thousands of miles per hour. Momo somehow didn't destroy everything when she placed her mighty feet on the soil. She landed with the elegance of a swan, clicked her heels and continued walking with me in her arms until we were in front of a shady looking building. The tower in front of us wasn't too tall but it had the demonic etchings that made Penumbra’s architecture so somber and scary. Still, with Momo at my side, I felt protected.

“There are four people in this tower. I will have to defeat them one by one, but I promise we will have a lot of fun.” She winked at me and we entered. It was dark and cold inside the tower, and the humidity was hurting my bones. I clung to Momo, who giggled playfully.

“How do you know these things?”

“Omniscience, I also know that there's no one here that can even hurt me, but it will be fun regardless, don't you think? Hehehe~”

Drops of water fell from the ceiling. I could hear them from afar, making the atmosphere tense and scary.

Suddenly a beam of light was cast on us. The unknown source of light came from the ceiling and displayed the arena in which the first of four henchmen was ready to fight Cure Unity. And to follow such a surprise, it started to rain, the enemy had used a water spell inside the building. What even was his plan? Momo smiled and twirled one of her twintails, she wasn't even getting wet.

“You will have to fight me now Cure Unity, we know that you were spying on us, do you think my lord Buri Buri is stupid? Think again you stupid slut! Now brace yourself, for I, Fan-man, am unbeatable in this kind of terrain!” He stepped out of the shadows to show his ugly and comical mug. He was a literal dark blue, giant fan with beady, cartoonish eyes and a cruel smile on his face, paired with big, red lips and the voice of a smoker. A picture-perfect example of the average, undesirable inhabitant of Penumbra.

“Of course, I let you bunch of useless idiots know that I was coming. Now I can really have some fun!”

“What?!” he exclaimed angrily. “Well, I bet you won't be so confident when I freeze you to death!” Fan-man, doing honor to his name, started to rotate his blades, making the rain fly towards Momo at such a speed that every individual drop would hit like a needle. This time though, she seemed to be letting it happen.

I noticed how the air currents that Fan-man created started getting colder. Oh no! I quickly understood. He was trying to freeze the water! Fan-man laughed as the rain slowly became ice but it clearly wasn't from your regular fridge variety. The icicles impacted on her half-naked body, still undamaged but instead of falling down they got stuck to her limbs and started growing into what looked like some kind of crystal.

“You won't be able to move with those parasite crystals crippling your body, you have lost hahahaha! And all because you were so cocky, Cure Unity! My lord will love a crystal statue of your spectacular body though. That's the good thing about my victims, I turn them into art. I give them a purpose!”

And then his dreams were instantly shattered, just like the crystals. Momo broke them like nothing by just flexing her muscles a little, then, without saying anything, she started to walk ominously in Fan-man's direction, forming a precious smug smile on her kissable lips. This shouldn't have been possible for anyone else and I saw that in our enemy's desperate expression. His eyes were filled with fear, he must have thought it was impossible to break the crystals but he didn't know that impossible was a word that didn’t exist in Cure Unity’s vocabulary, the most powerful magical warrior in history. Each click-clack of her heels was like a number in a countdown to the moment of his demise. He was scared for his life and, in a last pitiful display, he used the propeller on his back to escape as fast as he could, trying to reach the stairs to the next level of the tower and reunite with his comrades.

“You cannot catch me! I'm the fastest man ali-” but Momo was already in front of him, yawning as if she had been waiting for him for eons. She was so fast I couldn’t even realise she wasn’t at my side anymore.

“No, you are not, sweetie.”

He couldn't stop in time and was about to crash against her but she stopped him with one finger, then flicked him against a wall with such strength that he almost exploded into bits. The shockwave made me topple.

“T-this is not the end, you cannot beat my Stormy Blade Attack!” He tried to cut Cure Unity with the wind created by his fan but she wasn't hurt despite all her surroundings getting slashed into pieces by the extreme air currents.

Cure Unity smiled cutely and used her glossy, pink lips to inhale a little, and then, she exhaled a hurricane. Her lungs had produced such a powerful gale that Fan-man's storm looked like an actual house fan in comparison, eventually losing to hers. Momo controlled her mighty breath to play with Fan-man's body, making him crash against things with extraordinary aim, beating him at his own game. Then she decided to stop and show him what real wind power was. As easy as you and I could eat a strand of spaghetti, Cure Unity inhaled with a little more of power this time and, just like a black hole, she slurped up her enemy’s entire body like it was made of liquid. I was in awe, I couldn't comprehend what had just happened. Everything went silent and Momo licked her lips.

“D-did you just eat… I mean, drink an entire 8 feet tall metal monster made of blades with your lips?”

“He passed like water but tasted horrible~” For some reason she sounded so natural saying these things. Momo had become a beautiful, perfect monster of raw power that couldn't be beaten on any front. It was like a fever dream.

“Let's go to the next level, shall we?” I nodded and followed her up the stairs.

This floor of the tower was clearly different, it was gigantic. I couldn't imagine that this tower could hold such a place inside it, but here we were. Momo and I entered a well-illuminated room which extended well past the horizon and was covered with enormous rocks. A roaring laugh came from the distance. It was a harsh and uncaring voice, characteristic of a beast that was lost in its own bloodlust. One rock, big enough to squash anyone in an instant appeared in the air, it had been thrown with incredible strength at us but it was to no avail, Cure Unity detected it with ease and destroyed it with one kick..

Next she turned the color of her pretty sapphire eyes into vermillion red and shot magical laser beams from them. They were thin but really powerful, enough to blow up a mountain-sized block of stone. The room was filled with dust but Momo didn't bother to close her eyes. She smiled, completely calm and already aware of the location of her opponent. A literal pile of muscles with a tiny head in a wrestling costume appeared between the mess. He was at least 15 feet tall and towered over us, the veins on his powerful arms pumped blood so fast that you could see them pulsating and each step of the giant made the floor crack under his unbelievable weight.

“Cure Unity! Brute-man recognizes your strength! Now fight me!” he said what needed to be said. He didn't seem like an intelligent guy, judging by his small, bald head. In fact, he looked like a total ignoramus.

“You are not as interesting as you think you are, insect. I propose you something.” The insult made a vein pop out of his head, he didn't like to be ridiculed, especially by a little, pink, girly girl like Momo. But unfortunately for him, he wasn't even remotely aware of her actual power. “I will surrender if you manage to defeat me. I won't even do anything, you have all the time you want. Until I get bored of you that is…”

That was the last straw, Brute-man roared and charged against Cure Unity, but when he collided with Momo he stopped in a dime. Even when pushing her shoulders with all his strength, the monstrous behemoth couldn't even make her budge. She smirked, sure of her physical superiority; their sizes weren't important, she was just so much stronger it wasn't even fair, but she humored him anyway. Brute-man made use of every possible angle to try and lift or move Momo's lithe body. Unfortunately for him, it was futile, her sheer power was too much to overcome and it didn't take long after he stopped. Panting and sweating from the effort, his face all red. Cure Unity, of course, was perfectly fine, it didn’t even seem like a good workout for her.

“Is that all? Guess It's time for me to…”

“No! Please! I will…”

“Don't ever interrupt me. Ever.”

Faster than Brute-man could react, Cure Unity grabbed his much bulkier arm and squeezed it within two of her delicate fingers. The muscular monster started screaming as if he was a pig in a slaughterhouse. I could tell that it hurt a lot because Momo's fingernails were denting his skin and he was bleeding. His arm turned blue after a while and then she twisted it into a weird shape, making him cry. It was obvious that Momo had no respect at all for these beings, maybe she had a sadistic side to her that I didn't know about?

Finally, Cure Unity released him and before he could react, took his other arm and lifted his entire body just to start spinning him like a dreidel with a single finger. After a while, she threw him against the ceiling from which he, of course, plummeted to the ground. This gigantic musclehead was sobbing with his face planted on the floor, which he started punching and breaking ragefully like a child throwing a tantrum. He was fueled by the knowledge that he couldn't even cause Momo to flinch.

“I am Brute-Man! I can lift the tallest skyscrapers, even mountains! This doesn't make any sense! Why can't I beat you?”

Momo didn't say a thing. The magical girl approached him and, once again, lifted his monumental frame, this time by the chin with only one finger and put him against a wall. I noticed that he had his eyes closed, trying to hide that he was crying and probably praying for someone to save him, his body was bruised and he was totally defeated but Momo still wanted to prove her superiority. Not wasting even one minute, Cure Unity used her powerful but soft breasts to push Brute-Man's body against the wall. Trapped between the two hazards he watched helplessly as his bones started to crack under the pressure of those two big, meaty spheres on her chest. With his body now totally ruined, Brute-man fell again, his right arm was the only thing he could still move at that moment but he had been rendered permanently mute and was about to faint from the pain.

“Say... if you’re so strong, let's see how you handle this.” Cure Unity casually removed one of her many heart-shaped earrings from her ear and then dropped it on Brute-man's hand. Suddenly, he couldn't even raise it to ask for mercy anymore. It wouldn't have mattered if he had the chance to use his full strength in this situation, he still wouldn't have been able to lift the heavy weight of such a tiny, little earring. It was humiliating for him.

And that wasn't all, both his body and the entire floor started to sink under the earring's massive mass. It was a sight to behold, such a diminutive thing being that heavy. Momo smiled triumphantly and let Brute-man sink more and more with the earring on his hand until he fell all the way to the first floor, breaking its ceiling in the process. He then sank even further until I couldn't see him anymore. The hole was so deep it made me think he probably would eventually reach the planet’s core. Momo sighed, clearly upset with another unchallenging encounter but she quickly recovered her confident smile.

“Hmpf! What a weakling! Normally my earrings weigh as much as tens of thousands of galaxies stacked upon one another. But you see, I reduced the weight of this one to just be the heaviest object on Earth and he couldn't even lift that. I'm honestly disappointed.”

How strong was Momo right now? If what she was telling me was true, she was now wearing incalculable tons of weight in each ear. To make matters even more ridiculous she wasn't even fazed by the fact that she could still move faster than lightspeed with them on.

“You see Cincirino, nobody can beat me in a strength contest, no matter the size, so it really pisses me off when someone dares to challenge me!”

After that last bravado, we took the stairs to the third floor, where the last of Buri Buri's henchmen was waiting for us. Momo was carrying me in her arms.

The room was filled with strange artificial tentacles and an ethereal, purple light source gave the place a creepy vibe. I didn't want to be there. Momo caressed my fur and I relaxed a little, she was always so kind with me, even when she was in the middle of a power trip. We could see who was summoning both the light and the tentacles when we delved towards the northern side of the arena. It was a giant brain, compressed in a robotic helmet made especially to contain it. The wearer was a really cute girl with soft, pale skin and a menacing violet color in her bedazzling eyes. She was a witch from Penumbra, a really powerful one, whose main talent was none other than her mighty mind.

“You are correct, little guardian, but worry not, I will dispose of both of you in no time. This magical warrior...this Cure that travels with you, her powers were great enough to defeat my lesser associates. However, mine are of a much greater magnitude. How ironic and melancholic, to come so far, just to die here. I shall weep for you after your death, brave heroes.”

The psychic witch ordered a nest of insects that were waiting in the tentacles to attack us in a gigantic swarm and I covered my face but nothing happened. Am I not dead? How?! When I opened my eyes again I saw something that rivaled the sight of Earth from space. Momo had turned all the insects into pink butterflies made of pure magic. This, of course, angered the evil woman.

“Your magic is strong, Cure, but Psychotrix is not one to give up against mere poltroons. You may be well versed in the arts of illusion, but I won't believe that you have just altered matter in front of my fair eyes.”

“That's exactly what I did, I altered reality. I transformed your hideous pets into something more in line with my style. At the end of this battle, you will have to admit that my mind is stronger than yours. I have the power to bend everything that exists to my will. A pathetic witch like you can't compete with me, nor in magic, neither in intelligence.”

This was a battle of the minds, so it was hard for me to tell what was happening but I guess I could follow them a little thanks to what they were saying.

“What's wrong? Don’t bother answering, I can tell. You are angry because you cannot enter my mind, me being unpredictable really makes you uncomfortable. My mind is so powerful that you don’t have enough psychic power to bypass my mental barriers. Yet, I can tell everything your limited brain is thinking right now. You are like an open book, and you know it. You can feel me slowly but surely crawling inside you.”

Psychotrix was sweating, she knew Momo was telling the truth. She felt her presence inside her head. There were no secrets left to hide anymore. This was unacceptable, unheard of. No one had ever done that before. Psychotrix’s brain was so powerful that Buri Buri had to construct this hideous machine around her just to keep her ever growing physic power in check but even that was ultimately useless against Cure Unity's surreal abilities.

“You should cease right now, spouting nonsense won't defeat me. Your shallow parlor tricks are beneath me, little wench.” She grinned menacingly, but it was obvious she was nervous. “Yes, heroine, for some reason I cannot unlock your mind, but that is no matter. I shall beat you with this instead!”

The witch concentrated for a moment and then launched a strike towards Momo's mind, she kept her eyes in line with her foe's, trying to hypnotize the most powerful girl ever by making them spiral but Cure Unity wasn't affected by it at all. In fact, she yawned and stretched her mighty, sexy body to show Psychotrix that her mental attack was to no avail. Our enemy kept trying though, but before she could achieve her goal she started to feel dizzy. Her head was spinning because she had overdone it.

“Was that all? Good, let me try then!” And then Momo did the same with her fantastic blue peeps. She only looked at Psychotrix's eyes for a moment but that was enough to instantly hypnotize the witch. Her beautiful purple eyes became glassy and she started drooling. “Say that my intellect is superior to yours.”

“Y-your intellect is superior to mine, Mistress Unity.” She was completely broken.

And with that victory under her belt, Momo got closer to her and, to my surprise, kissed her on the lips. We left the poor witch there, babbling incomprehensibly, her previously formidable mind destroyed by a magical girl's smooch. Momo was caressing one of her breasts out of sheer horniness.

“Ahhhh, that felt great, Cincirino. We only have to win against Buri Buri now. This has been pretty easy so far, don't you think?”

“You have become so mind-numbingly powerful, I cannot describe how impressed I am.”

“This is nothing, you should watch me fight a cosmic entity. I did it once and won. I would say I have surpassed the limits of magical understanding.”

“Do you feel good when defeating your enemies like this?”

“Why do you want to know? Do you fear that I might get corrupted by my power in the future?”

“No, It's not that, It's just that… I don't want to lose you, ok? You can do so much good but I don’t want you to become drunk with power and turn evil, my heart couldn't handle that.”

“Hmmm…” She thought about it for a moment. “Don't worry Cincirino, I'm the same Momo as always! We'll just beat this idiot and go back home!”

”Yes, ma'am!”

Buri Buri's chamber was smaller than the others and looked like a rich man's office. He was expecting us, sitting on his expensive armchair and smoking a fat cigar. Buri Buri was one of the five barons of Penumbra and he looked like a pig. Quite literally, he was the closest thing to a pigman you could think of. The place smelled horrible.

He talked in his putrid and corrupted voice. “Look who's here, if it isn't…”

“Shut up Buri Buri, I defeated your henchmen fair and square.” Momo interrupted, she was serious now. “I'm already bored with this tripe so if we could finish this right now I would be very grateful. I really don't want to see your swine face again.”

“Bold girl! Well, as you wish, have at you!”

The entire building around us started to transform, Momo jumped out of the window with me in her arms and put me on the sand before I even knew we landed. The entire tower was morphing into a giant, black mecha with a pig skull on top, an impressive and ridiculous sight. Buri Buri was the pilot and he wasted no time trying to destroy Cure Unity, shooting a myriad of different types of missiles and lasers. However, Momo easily prevented any of it from hitting us by casting a pink barrier around us. Buri Buri clenched his butt in fear at her display of raw power and his mecha followed suit, imitating his movements.

“This is your end, Buri Buri!” I screamed enthusiastically.

And I was correct, Momo blew a little kiss towards the robot, creating a magical blast with the shape of her lips that literally erased the mecha's right arm from existence. The 200 feet tall metal colossus lost its balance and fell on its back. Buri Buri couldn't make the machine behave as he wanted so it wouldn't get up. Momo teleported next to the robot and ripped off an entire leg with ease, which she then used to repeatedly smash its body, leaving it completely wrecked in a few hits. Buri Buri tried to get away by using the escape hatch in the cockpit but Cure Unity was already there, waiting for him and about to remove him from our world with an energy blast coming from her palm.

“P-please, have mercy! I haven’t done anything wrong yet! A Cure wouldn't kill a defenseless person!” He sounded pathetic, begging Momo to spare him. But he was telling the truth and the way he cowered in genuine fear pulled at my tiny heartstrings.

“If I let you live you will spread more hate and sadness. You will make the world a horrible place. Your intentions were to make innocent people suffer, including my children.”

I realized what was about to happen.

“No one will miss you, baron of Penumbra.”

“Momo!” I ran up to her and desperately humped her leg to get her attention. “You don't have to do this, you are a good person! He fears you now, he won't try anything bad ever again, I promise!”

“Y-yes, he is right! Spare me, please!”

Momo doubted for a bit but she ultimately chose to forgive the baron as she relaxed her combat posture.

“Only because I trust my partner.”

“T-Thank you!” But it wasn't going to be so easy. He may have technically gotten off the hook, but we still had to make sure he couldn’t hurt anyone in the future. Momo pointed at Buri Buri with her index finger and cast a magic spell on him. He instantly turned into a common mouse.

Momo stared at the rodent and it screeched, quickly running away out of fear.

“Considering what he planned to do with your world, that was pretty considerate.”

“I'm sorry you almost watched me abuse my power, Cincirino.”

“No, Momo! You did the right thing! Let's go back home and relax, you looked so unsettled back there.”

Back at her place, I asked Momo why she lost her usually calm and composed demeanor against Buri Buri. She explained to me that the thought of losing her children was her motivation for fighting crime. For her, people who actively worked to make others sad, especially children, should not be allowed to live. It was an extreme belief, but it wasn't far from what many Cures in the past had come to think. Sometimes fighting against evil makes you choose, and the choice to spare a villain is more often than not a luxury. I was glad that she did it though because it ultimately convinced me that she was prepared to bear the responsibility of using the glove's power. She had passed her final trial.

The next day I was going to return to Faerieland, the Council was probably going to punish me for crossing dimensions without their consent, but it had been worth it. I managed to catch up to my old friend and watched some incredible stuff. Perhaps, thanks to the presence of this benevolent goddess, mankind would no longer need more Pretty Cures, she would protect them forever, and never lose. The heroine of love and compassion, the champion that her world needed.

When I was about to leave I was stopped by her. She was sitting on the roof of her house, combing her hair like when we met for the first time.

“So you are leaving. Is that so, old friend?”

“Yes, sadly, but it was fun while it lasted.”

“You know you don't have to go, right?” It was true, but I didn't want to bother her for the rest of her life.

Then I looked at the sky. The Sun wasn't there, instead, there was a colossal pink heart in its place, radiating with a much stronger and purer light. It was… so majestic. Apparently she had completely replaced the original star for her creation. But no one seemed to notice… oh… so she had rewritten reality again… I understood…

“It will last forever, unlike that old and busted one. My work is finally done I think.”

“What?!” I exclaimed as she handed me the glove.

“But why?! You are better off with it! You could be the perfect heroine! Returning it to the Council is a wasted opportunity!”

“Madness. I want to live a normal life with my kids, I want to die and know that I've lived a healthy and fulfilling life. No more crime-fighting, or pretending to be a heroine. These powers are too much for me to handle, even if you think I am worthy of them. I don't want to be corrupted by them and lose everything that I care for. So, would you do me a solid and reforge that glove into a more adequate set of tools? I'm fed up with this responsibility.”

“I… I understand. I hope everything goes well for you Momo. It was fun, I’m sure I will come visit you again. I may even play with the kids if they don't treat me too roughly!” We laughed at the same time.

“I would love that! Goodbye Cincirino, you did your guardian job flawlessly. Especially yesterday.”

“Godspeed, Cure Unity…”

And then I returned to my realm to hand the glove to the Council, vowing to never forget that woman. The gentle smile on her face, her pleasant voice and her sense of justice, love and responsibility. Truly, she was the best Pretty Cure to ever grace the job and the next generation of Cures would have a hard time living up to her. The last thing I learned about Momo was that she apparently got married again, this time with a better man that tended to her needs and took proper care of Seiji and Shingo. The knowledge that she got to be happy in the end made me happy too.

To this day I still feel honored to have been part of that adventure eight years in the making. I’m writing this right now from Faerieland’s penitentiary. I can bear this punishment though, for it also gave me the time to portray this epic tale on paper. I, Cincirino, was the guardian of the warrior of love, Cure Unity, the strongest Pretty Cure in history.
