It's been a while since I've updated you on what has been happening with the site, over the last 2 months I've been manually fixing many database errors, I've tried to fix them with a script but it's not worked so I've had to do it one at a time, with over 23,000 errors it's been slow going.

I've uploaded and merged them into the active site and things should be going better.
Now that I have done that I've decided to reactivate the registration and allow new updates to the library but only for 2 weeks, starting tomorrow people can upload new stories to the site, I'll activate the registration setting once this post has been made.

I have to say that this update to the site has been the hardest and most laborious ever, it will be worth it and should mean that I don't need to perform such a difficult update in the future.

Lastly, I must put this request out, please if you can spare a few dollars to help with the running costs of the site it would be a blessing as without your donations we would need to go to an advertisement-based operating model. We might even need to put stuff behind a paywall, something that I know people would not want.  If all the members donate just $1 we will cover our costs and allow us to keep this site ad-free.

Hi SWM'ers,

I firstly would like to say on behalf of the Admins and Mods of the site a Happy New year to one and all, 2021 was a year that was up and down for most of us with COVID and the other crap that we have had to endure over the year it's nice to have a place that we can escape to and share our collective passion for super-powerful girls, 2021 was the year that we said goodbye to Supergirl on TV, but rather than being sad for it's ending I think most of us can say that we are relieved that they out the show of its misery when they did.  2021 was also the year that we saw new uberpowered girls on the big and small screen, who knew that we would have a tv show where we would see a girl explode peoples heads with just a look, it's been a good year, but it's also been a year that had a sting in the tail with the loss of Betty White, I know she's never played a ubergirl on TV but she has shown that age is no barrier to women who have the power to make people laugh, on a personal note 2021 has been the year where my long COVID has taken a toll on my body so much so that I have to postpone my plans for what I wanted to do to this site, I hope 2022 will be the year that I can get back into the swing of things.  2021 has also been a year that our discord server has exploded in ways that I thought was not possible, it has been well used and has enabled people to think out of the box in terms of new ideas for stories and content, the role-playing section has been fairly active and I would see others joining into that in 2022.

Now on to 2022, it's looking like it's going to be a good year in terms of movies and TV shows that cater to our needs, the remaining episodes of Nevers will be shown, the third season of the boys will be on Amazon this year, we have big screen supergirl and we have more from the marvel universe to enjoy, we have never been so enriched with content in decades.  We have new writers coming to the site and we have old writers coming back so we here are expecting a trove of new material to be hosted by the site over the year, our discord server is only going to get better, I can't wait to see what comes up.

I would like to thank woodclaw, he is continuing to be the best person to manage the library, I give him grief and make him work hard but he has never complained and has gotten on with what the site's library needs and for that, I would like to says "thanks".

Lfan is another that I would like to thank, his clarity of vision for this site has given me the purpose to continue to make this site what it is.

The discord mods also need thanks, for keeping the server smooth and keeping the vibe going.

I would like to thank you the members without you there would be no site, without you we would not have this dedicated site for something that we all enjoy.

Lastly, I would like to ask members to see within themselves if they can donate a few dollars to the site to keep it going, if every member donated just $1 we could cover our hosting costs and get some new features added to the site. This year is the last that we will be using the current system, I'm looking at others including using cryptocurrency as a way to pay the way.

Hi all,

It's been several years since I've updated the core server software and sorted some of the site more annoying bugs but I've finally cleared some time to get the work done.

So on the site will be closed for the weekend starting the 17th august 2019 and will be reopened sometime late Sunday the 18th, this is to allow me the time to sot out and fix the bugs, to format the server, reinstall the OS, updated the OS, reinstall the web-server/email software and re-upload the web site and test everything out.  And if I have time I will try to get the certificate working so that the site will be accessed via https rather than HTTP.

I hate to close the server down but this will allow me to fix one of the biggest bugs on the site namely story comments, I'm also going to upload a new story template that might find favour with people.

Hi all,

You will notice that the site has been down for a number of hours, this is due to a major FUBAR caused by the setting up of the email server, the problems have been extensive and it caused the corruption of the site's DataBase which has meant that I've had to use a 10 day old backup of the site.

So that means that all new users and new posts and stories from the last 10 days have unfortunately have gone.

I'm deep, deeply sorry for this.

I'll update you all on any other issues over the course of today.
