Liza Soberano is the new Darna

The Philippine Star has reported that Liza Soberano is now to become the latest incarnation of Darna in the upcoming movie, after Angel Locsin dropped out in May when it became apparent that she would not be able to return to full fitness after a training injury. Speculation has already begun on how the 19 year old's costume should look, with the actress claiming she's more than happy to wear the modern bikini-style outfit, but Rex Ravelo (son of Mars Ravelo, who created the character) hinted that fans should expect less flesh on show this time around. Liza herself is said to be a little nervous about taking on the part, but also very enthusiastic.

New showrunners for Supergirl in S3

Supergirl tv series co-creator, Ali Adler, is to move to a new position developing content for CBS (including a Dynasty reboot), meaning that there's been a shake up at the top of Supergirl. Coming in to join Andrew Kreisberg are writers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner, while Adler will stay on as a consultant. Both writers were responsible for the episode Falling in season one, and the season's finale Better Angels. In season two Queller co-wrote a number of episodes, including Mr. & Mrs. Mxyzptlk and Resist, while Rovner's episodes included The Last Children of Krypton and Luthors. Queller's website bio highlights Felicity, Gilmore Girls, Ed, Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries and Vegas as shows she has previously worked on; Rovner's Wikipedia entry lists Crossing Jordan, Private Practice, Dallas, Bionic Woman, Summerland, and American Dreams as previous writing/producing projects.
