We just needed science to prove it.

Give it time, and science will validate many of our science-related fantasies.
People poo-pawed the possible findings of female Viking-era warriors just recently. Now we discover that women of that era (and much earlier) were significantly stronger (upper body wise) than even the elite athletes of today. That's probably on average. There are always extreme outliers in every population (e.g the athlete/actors in the WW movie). Their equivalent a few thousand years ago would have been REALLY impressive in the "take your arm off during arm-wrestling" kind of impressive.
I just wish they'd hurry up and get to Velorians. <grin> I'm not going to live forever.

Before the Neolithic revolution, it is believed that men were the hunters and women the gatherers. I wonder what humerus differences, if any, prevailed then. And after farming was introduced, was there any change in the average male humerus, given that men may have had little to do but boss women around -- until state formation led to more fighting, and to construction of buildings, digging of irrigation ditches, etc.
