Just a heads up, since I don't recall anyone here talking about this.

Read the first issue on my kindle fire. It was short, but sweet.

The focus was on Diana as an Amazon warrior rather than as a super-hero. Lots of sword-work. When we first meet her, she is sparring with three minotaurs and mocking them, so she certainly has attitude to spare.

The art by Amanda Conner is gorgeous.

An interesting start.

Issue two starts with a bang, with Wonder Woman in the middle of a brutal, bloody fight against soldiers attempting to invade her homeland.

It ends with the promise of superheroine vs supervillainess action to come.

Completely bananas, but fun.

After fighting to get Comixology and my Kindle Fire to play nice, I have finally read Ame-Comi Wonder Woman #3, which is completely bonkers, as I have come to expect from this series.

The bulk of the issue is taken up by a fight between Wondy and Cheetah. It's more acrobatic than super, but it's still plenty of fun. The art is a little inconsistent, which is disappointing, but at times it is very nice.

The next three issues will star Batgirl, the three after that Duela Dent, then Power Girl is up to bat, followed by Supergirl. So far, I would say that it is worth the 99 cents per issue.

Ame Comi Girls continues to be good, old-fashioned superheroine fun. The second arc featured Batgirl and Robin, with a guest appearance by Steel. The third arc followed on from that, starring Duella Dent. The fourth arc started today, starring Power Girl, who appears to be taking the role in this universe that Superman does in the regular DC universe. Here she is rescuing her pal, Jimmy Olsen, from a tough spot.

Supergirl is about to enter the picture, I think.

The second episode of PG's arc was pretty good. It's clear that this version of Power Girl is every bit the equal of Superman in the regular DC universe. The art is a little ropy at times, alas, but it's still among the best superwoman action in comics.

Yeah I've enjoyed these comics. Power Girl as the Superman of this universe is nice, and agree that Supergirl is showing up in the next issue. Looking forward to the probably big showdown with Brainaic.

Okay, Ame Comic Supergirl #1 has arrived. Battle is about to be joined against Brainiac. I like the art a lot better in this issue than I did for the Powergirl arc. If nothing else, it's a lot more anime-flavored, as you can see:

Still digging this alternate, female-focused take on DC.

Ame Comi Supergirl #2 is out today. Supergirl and Powergirl do not hold back when battle is joined, and I love it.

I just bought the Supergirl one....and it's my new favourite comic...for obvious reasons if you've ever read one of my stories. Great stuff....highly recommended.
