Artwork isn't the best, but I think most here would like the underlying concept!

I have no idea how the comic industry works. But they did say on their facebook they intend for this to be a series. Dont really know if that holds any water though.

Typically once this happens each step goes onward-the writer does the next issue, penciler starts drawing while the previous book is in printing so it works out monthly.
So if they want to keep doing a monthly series...they would have to start already. They could be doing oneshot it to see if theres intrest in more. That doesn't always work out but who knows.
Budget wise A comicbook for DC or Marvel costs about 10-20 thousand to produce, highly varaible in terms of printing and distirbution. Indies can cost less-its a lot based on what you pay the artists.
Personally the art doesn't look great to me, and that's less rushed then i think style-but well who knows.

And you have got to get onto some of the platforms: Comixology, Amazon, Drive Thru (etc). At some point it'll probably be as simple to get on Comixology as it is to get on Amazon. I see amazon bridging those worlds since they own Comixology now.
And the 'Time to the printer" is just making sure you wrap up your page images into the correct format for submission.
But you are probably still going to sink $10k/issue. But if you did, I'd hope you'd get better art than was delivered here. You can find better artists/inkers/colorists combined on DA, the problem is that they probably can't work speeds of 1 page/day.
Speed is something learned though. The more you do something, the better you get, and the faster you get. I know some artists faint at that deadline -- but it's possible to achieve.
That said I enjoyed Reality #1 -- the art is the weakest part of this. And probably the easiest to actually fix.

This is Tony McDougall, the writer of Reality. Thanks so much for your kind words. The comic will be a 5 issue mini-series and issue 2 will be out in a month or two. I'll post on here to let you all know.
