ALV, independent ubergirl comic was created by lfan

Just a quick note that I just today saw a comic called ALV on Comixology and purchased it, as it made references to the protagonist female being superpowered. Two thumbs up!

Despite the cover of ALV sporting a couple of hand guns (inferring that she's a Punisher-esque character), ALV is something that leaped out of our library --- super(ior) in mind, body, strength, speed, and just about everything else!
While the art at times, in my opinion, seems a little rough in spots and some of her "superness "inferred", the book is definitely worth a peek!

More good news! It seems as the writer is starting a KS campaign for issue #2 coming up, so I implore my audience to get behind the book and help make it happen! I believe the KS doesn't start till May 28th, but here is a sneak peek:

I agree the art was rough in places, but I love the premise of a singular super woman in the world. Much like Mara.

I guess it's all perspective, but I thought her super powers were well on display. I won't spoil it, though.

I'll support this one if it continues. I just hope it's not another Reality or Ultravixen. Two issue tease and done.

Basic Supergirl power set. Haven't shown any vision powers, though. Also super intelligence.

Funny you bring up Reality. Whatever did happen to that? Did the author announce he wasn't continuing it. I really liked it. I remember he said it was only going to be like a 5 issue miniseries so hopefully we'll get more.

Seriously, what ever did happen to Reality. Granted, I wasn't a fan of the art but the story had a great concept that could've been explored.

However, I hope we get another ALV soon. I wouldn't be surprised if the writer lurked around here, especially if we have a British red-headed/dark-haired ubergirl as the main focus. Plus, I want to find out who was dumb/brave enough to set-up Adele for the fall.

I picked this up. Good find. This is exactly the kind of comic I like to buy/support so that more comics like it will be made.

It is a bit rough in parts, but not horribly so, and it does show some promise. I am interested in seeing where the stories goes.

(Same for Reality, I'd like to know where it's gone too.)

I left myself a calendar note to check in on the kickstarter.

Talked to Tony and Reality #3 will drop in "a couple of months". He said they got a new colorist, but I dunno if the artist changed.

Just pointed out to Jason from the ALV project that the "UK restriction" on rewards above GBP 15,00 is rather contra productive. Turns out that this was a mistake, all items will be shipped worldwide.

I, for one, have hence increased my contribution by GBP 50. If that restriction had you holding back, like it did me, please chip in some extra cash so we can make this happen.

OT: I'll also donate to this side, right away. Should really place the "Donate" Button more prominently in order to generate some cash ... .

Giving this a ping, since it's the last day of the kickstarter for issue #2 and they're < $200 from the goal. Just a bit of effort and they'll make issue #2. I'd like to give this one a few more issues to see where it's going.

One of my criteria for crowdfunding is "would this get made otherwise". Content we like isn't prevalent enough. ;-)

It was very considerate of ALV to schedule their campaign to end just after Brexit, so the exchange rate on the contributions would be more favorable!

Here wo go, issue #2 of ALV, the world's only superhuman, has been distributed to Backers as pdf-file yesterday/today.

Haven't read it through, yet, but first impressions look great. According to Jay, the issue will go to print by the end of the week. Be sure to pick up a copy, either way.
