I supported the Mt Olympus/ Patriotika kickstarter canpaign.
I got my digital download of the book the other day

It was all sizzle and no steak.

What we were promised. Super Sexy Patriotika.




And what we got.


Page after page after page of a musclehead.

What a let down.

This is why I am so hesitant to put any of my hard earned money into any Kickstarter campaign.
They fail to deliver what they promise.
The Kickstarter awards featuring the alternate art and cosplay pics featuring the Patriotika we were promised is all I have to look forward to.
The actual physical book when it comes will go in the box unopened.

I funded a digital copy. Less $

I am a dinosaur. I love the look and feel of an actual comic in my hands.
So much depth in an actual picture printed on paper that a digital picture fails to effect.

Are you saying it's a bad comic simply because the main heroine doesn't appeal to you aesthetically?

I whole-heartedly disagree that it's a disappointment. I also disagree that she's not sexy because she has muscle. The fact that they advertised "sexy" is objective and in that way I think they delivered.

The story is just getting started and I think this is going to be a great title and I look forward to backing the next issues.

I am glad you enjoyed the comic!
It is a whole big world out there and everyone is different.
What seems good to some may not be good for others.

I did not care for the comic.
It did not highlight the costumed character featured on the cover and in ALL of the Kickstarter stretch goals.
We got something else.

I sort of see your point. I'm an FMG fan, which is why I bought the digital copy. It was a fine read and a pretty straightforward FMG-themed superheroine origin. But if you look at the Kickstarter page, there's a lot of the pin-up covers which are all Power Girl-style glamor and no muscle. There is a definite disconnect there that could be misleading.

Yes.

Can you tell me what kind of feat of super strength please ?

Flying, lifting a giant superheroine while flying, lifting or preventing herself from getting crushed by a giant dinosaur style paw, blasting a power blade into a creature from her hand, deflecting bullets, running through a giant beetle, and lifting the dead beetle

Any expect of superbreath?

None in the first issue.
I do not know what the future holds.
