A cult classic character in the ubergirl space is Betty Cooper's SuperTeen persona which springs up from time to time from Archie Comics.  Fans can rejoice cause Archie Comics is releasing a SuperTeen one-shot this summer with an updated costume makeover for the titular superheroine.  You can check out the details from CBR here:  www.cbr.com/betty-cooper-superteen-june-...esign-archie-comics/

For the darker side, there are also a three Vampironica series where Veronica is a vampire.  Each runs for about six issues IIRC, one is a crossover with a world where Jughead is a werewolf (“The Hunger”).

I remember the first series having a few light strength scenes in them, but probably not enough to make someone rush out and get them. 

I’ll probably have to pick the one up too.
