Justice #8 -- That 70's Supergirl

Issue #8 of Alex Ross's Justice maxi-series features Supergirl in an outfit that hasn't been seen for quite a while -- the one with the loose sleeves, plunging neckline, and red shorts.

Justice is set in "pre-Crisis" continuity (the original Crisis, that is), with a few tweaks. It features Ross's painted artwork, which I'm of two minds about -- the faces have an individuality and expressiveness rarely seen in the medium, but the realism of the art seems to get in the way of the narrative "flow."

Sadly, Supergirl's appearances in this issue hardly add up to a cameo, but with four more (bi-monthly) issues to go, we can hope for more ...

Thanks for the update. I haven't purchased many comics the last few years but I'll add this one to the list to buy. Even a couple of frames of SG in that sexy old outfit are worth it.

Isn't it only one or two panels ~ and she's down for the count in both of them?

Yeah, like I said -- barely a cameo. I'm hoping she'll get more game-time in upcoming issues.
