I'm just pleased they're actually going to use Mary in a major storyline. I know she's only just awoke from a coma, but for all DC have used her it seems like she was in it for the past 20 years. I used to think Powergirl was under used (and I still think she is) but she's been one of DC's major players compared to Mary. The new look may not be to everybodys taste, but at least she's going to be prominantly featured (for a short while at least). And with her power levels, I'm hoping she kicks major butt.

Well, Mary is officially "black" now....not much besides the transformation itself. Kinda turned off by the artwork...her naivette look almost comes off as cartoony (big eye, almost Chiba-like, expressions) -- def not the money pic that is on the cover! And the only uber feat is so heavily shadowed....

Maybe next ish....

Ung ~ what is going on at DC?

All three books I was interested in were terrible. Bad art, lame/slow/bad story.

Countdown: What did they do to Mary's face? She looked like dough eyed freak with a smashed face.

Supergirl: Just crap art. Bad lines, bad composition, clustered/messy backgrounds, no ability to draw clothing or hair, no understanding of perspective. Plus was it just me or did everyone including the two Supergirls suddenly have Black African facial features?
