I think the lack of artists on DA doing the new outfit on SG is a sign of just how uninspired the new costume is. I've seen better done by amateurs on there that better fits what we all can only guess DC is actually trying to do.

Given that I don't like the restyling too much, I think that the lack of source material is the main cause.

I'm sure when the first books come out there will be more - but even with the limited material I would have expected more people to try. Just thinking.

DC is all about managing decline at this point.

Bearing in mind that (to the best of my knowledge) only one picture of the new costume has been made public ...

Am I the only one who doesn't hate it -- or at least prefers it to the current outfit?

Granted, the boots are awful and that red wedge would look better if it went all the way around. But overall, I think the costume has a nice dynamic look, and the cape and high collar give it an imposing quality that the belly shirt and miniskirt lack.

I'm more concerned about how the new writers might change her personality, but that's a subject for a different thread.

Okay, I will admit that I kind of like the new costume from the waist up. The high neck and cape give her a regal look (although it's very 'Kingdom Come') and the top gives some nice definition to her torso. I was never a fan of the belly shirt, and I won't be sorry to see it go.

However, the bottom part of the costume is just a mess. The red wedge, the belt that goes nowhere and the peek-a-knee boots just look fussy and over-designed.

I agree with Argo that her personality is a more important issue, and it's too early to know how that will go. If they get the right team and are able to keep them on the book for the long haul, then things may work out.

At least she survived the reboot.
