Fans of ubergirl art should check out Metafemmes (Volume 1), published by Jupiter Press and available through their website:
www.jupiter-books.com
"This illustrative assortment of extraordinary women with astounding powers is designed for mortals who are simply destined to admire them."
Top-notch production values and terrific art by Jim Hall, Mitch Foust, and Dean Zachary (who drew the picture of Atalanta in the SGI Gallery). Color plates and black-and-white sketches. The characters are creator-owned (though there are a few obvious homages to licensed characters).
Check it out!

The 3 samples look more like a Dungeons and Dragons fan type of thing.

Those are samples of the artists' work in general -- they're not included in the Metafemmes book.
The artwork in Metafemmes is a mix of super-heroines and "heroic fantasy" figures.
I think lfan has links to some of the artwork in Metafemmes. Maybe he could post them here?
(And maybe I should mention, for admin's benefit, that I'm not affiliated with Jupiter Press and haven't been remunerated for my endorsement of their product ... )
