Again, it's all how Warner Brothers DECIDES to look at it. I have a feeling they'll look at 700-800M worldwide and count that as a "success" 9 times out of 10.

I won't argue the "science" of cost accounting, but will just end with the firm belief that WB continued to keep pumping out Harry Potter films, arguably one of the most succe$$ful franchises in history, and would give their left nut to make more of them. This despite the fact that Order of the Phoenix (2007) made almost a BILLION dollars worldwide and still "lost"$167 million according to some nimble studio accounting:

Totally agree.

And yes, when it comes to taxes and stuff, yes, studios use "creative accounting" to show how much they should pay.

With regards to this thread, the underlying question and answer is:

"Will WB continue to make DCEU films?" Answer: "Yes" ($700,000,000 is still bank)

And really that's pretty much all that's left to say I guess. \O/
