Having never read the comic books, I didn't know what to expect going in. But let me tell you:

I loved it!!

Now it may be a bit too gruesome for some people, but the violence was so over-the-top that I thought it was funny. I also liked how the three stories were tied together through one night at the bar.

My favorite quote (from Hardigan): "I felt like a palsy victim trying to perform brain surgery with a pipe wrench."

The movie is chock full of silly dialogue like that that somehow, in the context of the movie, turn out funny and, oddly enough, understandable.

I might have to see it again to try and find everything that I missed... [/b]

It was almost violent enough for me.

Go watch Hard Boiled, a John Woo movie starring Chow Yun Fat.

After watching it, the best comment we made about it was:

"It's like Doom in a hospital!"

(the video game where you go from room to room killing monsters, repeatedly, until every level is cleared...)
