Question about Girl Of Steele

Hi Kelly,

Firstly I want to say Merry Christmas. Secondly I've just watched GoS and have a couple of questions about it if you can cast your mind back. I've seen it before and apart from the odd sound trouble it is a really enjoyable half-hour of heroine based entertainment. I guess it's at least 5 years old and in that time nobody else that I have found has produced a supergirl film with such a great costume and actress filling it. I think my favourite bit is the really casual "Where do you think you're going?" just before shes rips you out of the car!

I've got questions about the end scene really. Obviously it would be incredibly difficult to have a hand to hand fight scene between the two characters as they were played by the same person, so it was interesting to see how you ended it.

My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that whatever was on the ropes holding Jason was toxic to supergirl. Toxic in the sense that it forced continual orgasms on her? I hope I've not got that wrong as that would be embarrassing.

I wondered also if you had written or considered any ideas for how you would continue that story and how she would get out of that? Also what was Mandi's opinion of this ending? Was she someone happy to perform any role or did she have strict limits about such things?

Do you have out-takes from this film and do you think they will ever be posted?

Sorry for all the questions, as I say I just watched it and I was really curious about how that last scene came about and where you planned to take it at the time.

That's one I would LOVE to see a conclusion/sequel to some day, even if it has to be with a different actress.

Ok ... I have answers.. Something that's been cooking for a while now.
But, I just got home from a long weekend, and I have a shoot tomorrow.
So, I'll give ya the scoop Monday night.

Ok, I promised a more detailed story. But, lemme just get past this whole holiday/new years thing.
Plus, I have to finish an update to www.AdaraSteele.com

Just to get the ball rolling.. It's not a sequel... This will be a complete doover. No Mandi is gone.. But you'll be far less concerned about that when you see who I've cast.
As for original cast.. Jason will be returing and Caleb is a maybe..

Ok, was going to keep this to myself until we began production, but Zebra had to go and start this thread.
I've been asked about GOS quite a bit in the 6 years since Mandi and I shot the original and a while back I started the script for a new GIRL OF STEELE series.

Anyway, here are a couple of scenes for you to read.

23. EXT. WAREHOUSE – DAY

Jason comes to as the trunk that he’s in opens. His hands are tied. Greg’s Thug #4 grabs him and pulls him out. Standing near the car are Greg, Thug #5, Thug #4 and Thug #3 Jason immediately recognizes Greg from his dealings with Tony.
Thugs # 3 and #4 are holding Jason’s arms as Greg walks up him.


Greg

Hey.. You don’t look so good.


Greg grabs Jason by the hair and pulls his face up.


Greg
No, I think you might need medical attention.


Jason, still groggy, says nothing.


Greg
No? Well, you’re a tough guy..right?


Without warning, Greg punches Jason in the face.


Greg
How about that, tough guy?


Jason moans a little.
Greg puts his hand up to his own ear.


Greg

What’s that? I can’t hear you? Are you crying?
Just what I thought.. Crying like a little bitch!


Greg pulls Jason’s head up again only to realize that the moaning sound was quiet laughter. Jason laughs louder.


Jason
Haha.. a bitch?? Like the guy that ran off into the woods, and let his boss go down.


Greg looks at his men with almost guilty eyes.


Greg

Hey! Shut your mouth!


Greg punches Jason again in the face.
Jason recovers slowly, spitting blood and laughing even louder..


Jason
Hahoohoo.. And you hit like a girl too.


Jason spits more blood


Jason
Seriously man.. How did you get into this line of work.


Greg looks at Jason getting angrier. Greg’s men look at Greg.


Jason

Did your Daddy pulls some strings? Maybe Tony owed him a favor?
If I were you, I’d think about chang---


Greg punches him in the stomach.
Jason recovers slowly, and coughs.
Greg turns to the man who grabbed him.


Greg

Where’s his gun? I want him to die by his own gun!


Thug #4

He didn’t have one on him.


Gregs looks back to Jason


Greg (Laughs)

No gun? What kind of cop are you?


Jason (Chuckles)

The kind that’s on vacation.


Greg steps back


Greg
Well, you’re about to go on permanent vacation.


Greg pulls out his pistol.
Jason looks Greg in the eye.


Jason

How did you guys last this long? I mean, you really should take the extra minute to thoroughly search the people you abduct.


Jason’s hands come up fast. The ropes are cut and fall free. Greg sees the knife in Jason’s hand.
Jason head buts the Thug #4 to his right and at the same time stabs Thug #3 to his left in the throat.
Thug # 5 standing next to Greg pulls his pistol and takes aim on Jason.
In one fluid motion Jason pulls the knife from Thug #3’s throat and throws into Thug #5’s forehead.
Greg watches Thug #5 go down, then, in a panic, he runs into the warehouse.
Jason takes Thug #4’s pistol and cracks him In the head with it, then takes off after Greg.




24. INT. WAREHOUSE – DAY

Greg runs through the main offices yelling at the men (Thugs #6, #7 , #8 and #9) inside.


Greg (Winded)

Get out there and kill that cop!


Greg rushes them all out in front of him.
Jason enters the warehouse and slows down as several doorways open up in front of him.
He slowly walks into the darkness.
Greg now separated from his men, nervously moves through the darkness.
Jason continues his sweep, room by room. Thug #6 walks up behind him and opens fire. Jason whips around and returns fire as he dives into an open doorway.
Jason recovers quickly and puts his back to the wall in wait for Thug#6
Thug #6 moves toward the open doorway a female hand grabs his shoulder
Jason squats down and quickly peeks out of the doorway. Thug#6 is gone. He continues on.
Greg, scared and breathing heavy moves slowly into an empty room.
Thug #7 has an automatic weapon and is moving through an open hallway on the upper level. Behind him a female in a blue and red outfit floats silently down from the level above
Greg jumps as he hears automatic weapon fire above him.
Thug #7 is thrown against a wall, but manages to turn around and open fire on the woman. She walks slowly into the gunfire unaffected by the bullet impacts. As she gets closer he sees that she’s blonde and very beautiful. It’s Katie.
Jason moves against a wall when he hears automatic weapon’s fire. He then hears muffled screams, then silence.
Thug # 8 sees Jason in the distance moving closer. He takes aim and waits. Then a red boot taps him on the shoulder. He turns and sees Katie hovering behind him, just above his shoulders. She reaches down and pulls him off the floor to her eye level. She then flies him to a higher level away from Jason.
Greg again freezes almost panicked as he hears a man’s screams then silence.
Jason enters another dark room and Thug #9 rushes him. Jason flips him over onto the ground, then cracks him in the head with his pistol. He unloads Thug#9’s pistol and throws it away.
Greg cracks, and makes a run for the exit. Jason whips behind him and takes aim.


Jason

Stop right there!


Greg doesn’t stop
Jason fires a shot over his head.


Jason
The next one’s going in your ass!


Greg stops, puts his hands up, and drops his pistol.
Jason, still aiming, walks up to him.


Greg

You’re some kind ninja cop! I jus---


Jason punches him in the face, Greg goes down, unconscious


Jason (mumbles)

Asshole!


25. EXT. FIELD – DAY

A car is sitting sideways and Katie pushes it back down on it’s wheels. She walks over to the passenger door and pulls it off. She grabs Thug #8 and slings him out. Thug #8 lands on his back and is quickly joined by Thugs # 7 and #6 .
Katie turns and bends over them.
The Thugs lay frightened as they see Katie’s eyes begin glowing with fire.


Katie

You have one choice. That is, if you want to live past today.
