Blender the non-commercial 3d software program recently received an long expected update which adds features to its modeling section whom a lot of people have requested for a long time. The current release is already bug-fixed.
I got myself interested in this program a few years ago- yes Blender can also be used to import, model and animate uebergirl/superwoman related content.
The next update of Blender will feature a new composite Editor which will give Blender capabilities in the likes of Adobe After Effects.

While I don't plan to do anything with it myself- I know there are enough people on this site who could be interested in a free-legally available software package which tries to cover the whole process of creating virtually special effects or even characters and than(just as an example) to mix them up with real world film footage, so this is the reason for this posting.
